00:07My name is Hubert Tan. We are from the Wanderleaf team.

00:10Wanderleaf provides medical devices.

00:13One of our newest products is Wanderleaf Assure.

00:17Wanderleaf Assure is a walking aid.

00:22For example, when an injured patient

00:26has broken or paralyzed legs,

00:30Wanderleaf Assure can help them live independently

00:34without relying on others.

00:36Steven is the CEO of Wanderleaf Assure.

00:38He had an accident and approached us.

00:41Steven is an amputee with only one leg.

00:46So he uses crutches and it's a bit difficult for him to walk

00:51because the crutches will cause pain in his arms and shoulders.

00:56The function of Wanderleaf Assure is to help patients

01:01walk through rehab and mobility at the same time.

01:05Because the product is only for rehab or mobility.

01:12The development of this product started with a manual prototype.

01:16The manual version of Assure has an advantage.

01:19It has a body frame that can prevent the user from falling.

01:24The advantage is that it can go up and down.

01:28So the patient can transfer from the chair to Wanderleaf Assure.

01:33From the manual, we upgraded to Assure Electric.

01:38We added a hybrid with an electric wheelchair.

01:41This hybrid can help them do rehab and mobility at the same time.

01:46Our main process is to research the existing product

01:49and brainstorm the concept that we need to make Wanderleaf Assure.

01:54Mostly, the manufacturing process starts in the workshop.

01:58The design process is made in 3D.

02:01Then we extract the technical drawing and give it to the workshop.

02:05So they can make the prototype.

02:06The process takes one to two months.

02:09We collaborate with the supplier to get materials that are durable.

02:18We also do testing for the materials that we get.

02:23After we weld and have the prototype,

02:26we collaborate with the nursing home.

02:30We get feedback from the nursing home in the area.
