00:00All right, now, as far as Duke's game last night against George Mason, not a surprise.
00:07They win big.
00:08Cooper Flagg, another really strong game for them, 24 points, nine rebounds, four assists
00:13and three steals.
00:15And here we are in December, and we've got a couple of players here that are dead even
00:20to win the Wooden Award in Broom and Flagg.
00:24And we have so, so many more games to play, Mike, it's really hard to handicap this.
00:29Cam Jones is still in the mix, too.
00:31But it is unusual to see two players that are this close at this time of the year.
00:36Again, we're a couple of months into the season now.
00:38Yeah, I hear a lot of conversation around games, analysts, play-by-play, saying that
00:45Jani Broome is sort of the clubhouse leader for player of the year.
00:50But I was in Cameron Indoor Stadium when they were on the same floor, and there wasn't much
00:54doubt about which player was superior.
00:57Now Auburn is having a superior season, and probably will in the end, and that'll help
01:02Jani.
01:03It'll be interesting to see whether Cooper Flagg can justify those odds by continuing
01:08— he's going to continue to perform, there's no doubt.
01:11Can Duke justify those odds, I think, is really more the question.
01:15And with the way the ACC has performed in non-conference, I think that Duke should dominate.
01:21I don't know that they have any excuses for not putting up a really big number in terms
01:25of victories in ACC play, and if they do, then Cooper can stay in that conversation
01:31with Broome.
01:32But Auburn's going to be playing at the top of the SEC.
01:35They'll be first, second, third.
01:37They may need to be first or second in order for Jani to win the trophy, but they'll be
01:42in that neighborhood.
01:43They're an excellent team.
