00:00I think people are going to look to bet Auburn, maybe it's Duke minus one because of home
00:09court.
00:11I just think that people are going to be ready to fire away on the Auburn Tigers.
00:16I play the Duke National Championship market though, so for me, I'd much, I mean, I need
00:23to see Duke win that game.
00:25That's very, very important.
00:28When you bet the favorite, which is what I did, you need them to act like it, right?
00:36You need them to put the appropriate results up on the board, and I have no problem with
00:42anything I've seen from Duke so far.
00:45What they did at Arizona I think is incredibly impressive.
00:49Hung with Kentucky and Kansas the whole way, the late game stuff is not good, and I look
00:55at Shire more than Flag.
00:58The optimistic lens on that for both parties though is we are going to just keep giving
01:06Flag reps in those moments.
01:09That way, come March, he's beyond comfortable in them because we can afford to lose to Kentucky
01:15and Kansas right now, and by the time we can't afford to lose to them, Koop will be at his
01:21best.
01:23From that end of it, I get it, right?
01:25I do.
01:26If that's what's going through John Shire's mind in those moments when he's just kind
01:30of giving the ball to Flag and saying, figure it out, as opposed to running real action,
01:38getting Kooper, Flag involved as the screener, letting Proctor make a move, even Concanipple.
01:48Ah, we've got dogs going wild out there.
01:52I don't know if you guys can hear that, but for Duke, now you're home and you're playing
02:05what is the current best team in college basketball.
02:09I mean, you could say Kansas, but Auburn is number one on Ken Palm and the favorites who
02:14are in the national championship now.
02:15They've overtaken Duke in that market.
02:20So if you're the Blue Devils and the way the game plays out will be relevant, but if you
02:27lose that game at home, now we go, all right, this is probably going to be predictable.
02:39Veteran talented though, but veteran type team will be the demise of the Blue Devils
02:45come March.
02:48Maybe that'll feel like a sweeping statement to some in December, but if Duke does drop
02:55that game again, that's going to be the vibe around it because that's how all of their
03:02losses will have looked.
03:05And yes, there will be chances for Duke to try their hand again at a comparable team
03:12because they play North Carolina twice, but North Carolina early returns, not Duke Kansas
03:26Kentucky level.
