00:00At this point in our discussion, we have an update on the programs of the current administration here in Mr. President on the Go.
00:22First of all, fellow countrymen, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led the distribution of confiscated mackerels to the residents of the Baseco Port area in Manila.
00:33Our President said that they have a different way of celebrating Christmas. Instead of ham and pork, they brought fish instead.
00:41This is so that the products won't go to waste.
00:44The President distributed 12 kilos of fish to 21,000 families in the Baseco.
00:50He also distributed to the most in need of the barangay in NCR, Bulacan, and Cavite.
01:00He also distributed to those in the City Jail, Public Hospital, and other care facilities.
01:05As per the President's activity, the current administration's focus is on smugglers and hoarders of fisheries and agricultural products.
01:15President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ordered the European Customs and Department of Agriculture to strengthen the implementation of the Anti-Agricultural Sabotage Act.
01:26If we recall, on September 28 and 29, 21 containers of frozen mackerel shipments from China with estimated market value of Php 178.5 million were confiscated in Manila International Container Port.
01:40According to the authorities, the consigned shipments are being investigated for violation of DA Memorandum Order No. 14, Series of 2024.
01:49In November, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources declared frozen mackerel safe for human consumption.
01:58According to the recommendation of the Bureau of Customs, the DOF approved the donation to the DA in December.
02:05The DA donated the frozen goods to the DSWD through the deed of donation and acceptance for distribution.
02:15Around 150,000 families will benefit from this donation.
02:19Meanwhile, in other talks, the Administrative Order No. 27, which provides service recognition incentives to government officials, was approved by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
02:31These are the countrymen who can receive the Service Recognition Incentive, or SRI, from government employees who are in a regular, contractual, or casual position as long as they are in service as of November 30, 2024.
02:48And there are four months of satisfactory service.
02:51The SRI does not include consultants, job order workers, and other non-employer-employee relationships.
