00:00I would like to inform you that in today's meeting, we have discussed a few things.
00:16The first is related to the Suranjaya Diraja Batu Putih report or RCI on Batu Putih
00:27which was discussed yesterday at the People's House.
00:32The spirit that has been put in the framework of this report and why it is discussed is the same as the reports,
00:46for example, the report of the Head of State Audit, the Suhakam report,
00:51which was given a chance to the MPs to discuss.
00:57At the same time, the Ministerial Committee has decided to propose to the State Auditors
01:08to consider revising or declassifying the final report of the Special Task Force Batu Putih.
01:17These are two different documents that have been laid out in the Parliament, namely the RCI on Batu Putih
01:23and in the RCI report there is also a reference to a report of the Special Task Force Batu Putih.
01:32The report is about the results of the investigation of the Special Task Force that was established on 29 October 2021
01:44and the final report was laid out to the Ministerial Committee on 7 October 2022.
01:51The report was initiated during the administration period of the 9th Prime Minister,
02:00where the new mayor, the mayor of Larut and the mayor of Putrajaya were among the members of the Ministerial Committee at that time.
02:12In today's meeting of the Ministerial Committee, it has been announced that the results of the report for the Special Task Force
02:23are the same as those laid out in the RCI on Batu Putih.
02:32This means that from one point of view, both find the same thing.
02:39And the report of the Special Task Force has indicated that there is a claim based on misfeasance
02:53or neglect of duty by a civil servant.
02:59And this is also what has been shown by the RCI report.
03:06So for the new mayor, the mayor of Larut and the mayor of Putrajaya,
03:13the actions shown by the RCI are far different from the reports that they themselves have read
03:23when they were in the Ministerial Committee.
03:26This is one of the things that is quite disturbing.
03:30And the declassification of this document will be complete
03:37except for matters related to issues of diplomacy, security and national defense.
03:53I appreciate Sadiq's comment yesterday where he said that the RCI report is trying to portray Dr Mahathir as pro-Singapore,
04:02whereby it is almost inconceivable for someone like an ultranationalist like him to give up Batu Putih to Singapore.
04:10So what do you have to say about this? Do you have any comments regarding this?
04:13But the findings of both the Special Task Force as well as the Royal Commission of Inquiry, the findings are the same.
04:26So I think the facts of the matter speak for themselves.
04:36This is one of the reasons why we want an amendment.
04:43To make a basic decision, the RCI needs to review the RCI Memorandum.
04:51And this was mentioned by Datuk Sri Azalina in his speech.
04:58So we want to avoid the mistake or the way something was handled in the past, not to repeat it.
05:07That is our intention, not to hold a grudge or to discredit someone.
05:16Let alone when both these reports show the same thing.
05:21Misphisons. Both reports said the same thing.
05:26So for me, this is not an issue of ultranationalism or a grudge.
05:33But it involves disregarding the duty of someone who is supposed to be responsible.
