00:00Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati admitted that he has heard a lot of aspirations from the public,
00:07both from entrepreneurs, the general public, and the DPR,
00:11about the promise of an increase in the added value tax, PPN, to 12%.
00:16In our APBN press conference for the December 2024 edition,
00:21the State Department reiterated the basic needs such as rice, meat, fish, eggs, vegetables,
00:28education services, health, electricity, and drinking water are not affected by PPN, i.e. PPN 0%.
00:36Although the government's PPN for now is 11%,
00:40Sri Mulyani ensures that the goods and services will not be affected by the increase in PPN.
00:47So I repeat again, goods that are not affected by PPN will still be maintained,
00:55but now there is also an aspiration that PPN 12% will increase to 12%
01:03only for goods that are considered luxurious and consumed by those who can afford it.
01:11We will be consistent in applying the justice system.
01:18Sri Mulyani said that the calculation of PPN 12% is in the finalization stage
01:23and is carefully discussed with the Ministry of Economic Coordination.
01:29Because according to Menkyu, this is not only related to public aspirations, but also to the health of the APBN.
