00:00We have the sports betting app downloads through week 14 of the NFL season.
00:05So to be clear on that, folks, these are sports betting apps that you can download on your phone and bet on.
00:10No surprise, number one and number two, very close that they always have been, FanDuel and DraftKings.
00:16But Sam, the Hard Rock app is number three and BetMGM and everybody else is after that.
00:23How did the Hard Rock app jump over all of these other options?
00:27How did the Hard Rock app jump over all of these other operators?
00:31Am I confused here that they're only in Florida?
00:34So are these just all people in Florida that have jumped over everybody else all over the country?
00:39Is the Hard Rock app available in other states that I'm not aware of?
00:43Yeah, the Hard Rock app is available in eight states.
00:46And like you rightly point out, Craig, a lot of other apps are available and a lot more.
00:50BetMGM notably is in 19 states.
00:53In all season, it's been neck and neck back and forth with BetMGM and Hard Rock.
00:56But what this really shows is being the only game in town in Florida,
01:01which is the largest sports betting state at 6.5 percent of the population,
01:05has been really key for Hard Rock while you have other companies kind of struggling to keep up.
01:12You have the proliferation of daily fantasy sports apps as well, which have each surpassed one million in downloads.
01:19They would be about six or seven on this list ahead of new sports betting apps like Fanatics and ESPN Bet.
01:25But, yeah, we've seen Hard Rock be really successful in Florida in their first NFL season of being the only game in town.
01:32I would expect those numbers to continue to grow.
01:35Notably, Hard Rock has also said we're not entirely opposed to having other apps in the market as well.
01:42Obviously, if they're doing so well with just being in Florida right now,
01:45they'd want to make sure they really have a good deal and really monetize that well going forward.
01:50But what it shows is sports betting is obviously really popular in Florida, as you know.
01:54And it's interesting to see BetMGM kind of try to play catch up here while everybody else falls down.
01:59I'd credit BetMGM for their technological advancements that they made ahead of this NFL season.
02:05And like you alluded to earlier, DraftKings and FanDuel, no surprise at the top,
02:09they make up about 57 percent of the market combined, if you do the math.
