00:03 - Okay, well, we go from one thing that didn't happen
00:06 to one thing that will.
00:07 And I feel like this is revolutionary in a way.
00:09 I have so many questions about this.
00:11 Genius Sports, they announced that they have something
00:14 called BetVision coming, which very specifically,
00:17 let's just narrow it down.
00:18 If you have the Fanatic Sports book, and you open it up,
00:22 you create an account, and you bet,
00:24 you're gonna be able to watch professional football games
00:28 on the app, and they're also saying within the technology
00:32 that this is gonna be the best technology,
00:34 meaning there's gonna be no lag,
00:35 you can do all the live betting you want.
00:37 Do you think that this is accurate?
00:39 Do you find everything that's being reported here
00:42 to be what we will see in the future?
00:44 - Here's what I can say about that, Craig,
00:46 and I think you using the word revolutionary
00:49 is completely correct.
00:50 This is a huge shift for US sports betting,
00:52 and we have all been waiting for this product.
00:57 The only thing that has kept this product
01:00 from being in sports books before
01:02 has been the latency issue, right?
01:04 Has been how long it takes, how long that delay is
01:07 between what you're seeing on your phone
01:09 and what actually happened on the field.
01:12 If Genius is launching this now, and they say they're ready,
01:15 I have to assume they're ready.
01:17 Genius is the exclusive distributor of NFL data
01:22 when it comes to betting.
01:23 We know they've been working very hard on this,
01:25 and bet vision sounds awesome.
01:28 I mean, it sounds like there's gonna be
01:30 all kinds of overlays and stats,
01:32 and you can make your best slip right in the game.
01:36 It sounds great.
01:39 Streaming games in a sports book app is nothing new.
01:43 The UK has been doing it with soccer for ages.
01:47 And really what we had to fix in the US here,
01:50 especially with NFL, was that latency issue.
01:53 And if Genius thinks that now they have it down
01:56 to where betting is gonna be able to happen,
01:58 you actually be able to get those bets in
02:01 before the markets close,
02:02 I think that is really gonna be a game changer.
02:05 And it's big for these three books that are listed.
02:08 Bet Rivers has not launched it yet,
02:10 has not said when they're going to launch it yet.
02:12 Caesars and Fanatics have it.
02:13 We reported last week on Fanatics launching it,
02:16 and this was before Genius was really comfortable
02:18 with saying what was going to happen.
02:20 And now we know.
02:22 And you know what?
02:23 The other thing about this, Craig,
02:24 it's great for cord cutters too, right?
02:26 I mean, if there's a game you wanna watch
02:28 and you happen to be in this jurisdiction,
02:30 go ahead, spend 10 cents, watch a game.
02:32 So this is bringing a lot of different things
02:38 to sports betting now.
02:39 In-game betting is obviously one of the huge areas
02:44 of sports betting that can be profitable
02:46 for the books along with parlays.
02:49 And so obviously it makes sense to push that,
02:52 but this is huge for when it comes to
02:55 not just getting new customers, but retaining customers.
02:58 One of the things I noticed was that
03:01 during breaks in action, there's gonna be offers
03:03 that pop up on the screen from the sports book
03:05 to keep you engaged.
03:08 So I think this is really gonna be monumental
03:11 for the industry.
03:13 And in two to three years,
03:17 it could be something like this that really defines
03:20 who is leading sports betting
03:21 and who people want to go bet with.
03:23 Who's gonna have the best product
03:25 for a one screen experience.
03:27 We're so used to two screen experiences now
03:30 and genius is saying, no way, man,
03:32 grab your iPad, watch the game, bet, do it all right here.
03:35 And I think that's pretty big
03:37 for US sports betting in general.
