00:00What we have proposed is a migration of students from the big cities, which are not always synonymous with quality, to the small and medium-sized cities that host independent or detached athenaeums of excellence.
00:19This favours both the student and the possibility of using canons of lower location, because we have seen how in these cities the canons are, for a single room, lower, even at 250 euros, so certainly very convenient,
00:37but they can also, as we have seen, encourage students to attend universities and favour the cities themselves, because a good collaboration between the public and the private sector could lead to the re-qualification of the territory through the creation of new students
00:57and the local economy could benefit from it, because new students would allow to create more work on the territory, more work for the professionals involved in the construction and management of the students and the connected services, but a flow of students can undoubtedly lead to a higher consumption of goods and services and therefore greater opportunities for the city itself.
01:26A proposal that we have always taken advantage of the students is to unlock the rent of single rooms through a mechanism that must be inserted in the calculation of the concordat canon, which is already a well-functioning tool, but which does not provide a distinction between the rent of the whole property and the rent of the single room.
01:49To be able to insert a rule that provides an incentive to the owner who rents a single room to the student, with an increase in the rental canon of 20 or even 30% in the cities that need it the most, would mean an admission on the market of a greater number of rooms and, consequently, a reduction of the canon.
