00:04another aggressive action was carried out by two BIFAR ships in the West Philippine Sea.

00:11They were hit by a high-intensity laser.

00:29The first time a laser was fired at a Philippine Coast Guard tugboat in the West Philippine Sea.

00:35A few years later, the incident happened again.

00:39And this time, BIFAR ships were hit by a high-intensity laser.

00:45Some BIFAR ship crews experienced eye pain

00:49after they were hit by a high-intensity laser by a Chinese ship.

00:54It happened around 8 p.m.

00:57In a night-vision video taken by BRP Datu Taradapit,

01:01it was seen how the BIFAR ship was hit by an unidentified ship.

01:06In the crew of the ship,

01:08the laser hit the Philippine ship for almost five minutes.

01:14The incident happened in the area of Hasahasa Shoal or Half Moon Shoal,

01:19almost 16 nautical miles away from Bataraza, Palawan.

01:24The maritime patrol of the BIFAR ships

01:27and the crew of the fishing boats

01:30helped the ships to stop after the laser was fired

01:34at the Philippine ships

01:36in the island for scientific research.

01:39The incident was immediately condemned by the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources of BIFAR,

01:45BIFAR's gate.

01:46It was proven that the Chinese ships

01:50were the ones harassing the Philippine ships

01:54who were carrying out dangerous manoeuvres.

01:57Just last week,

01:59BRP Datu Sandai and BRP Datu Pagbuhaya,

02:02BIFAR's other ships,

02:04docked and occupied by Water Cannon,

02:07distributed aid to the Philippine fishermen

02:11in the exclusive economic zone of the Philippines.
