Para makatulong sa mga bi-biyahe kasabay ng christmas rush, papayagan ulit ng MMDA ang mga provincial bus na dumaan sa EDSA.
Pero sa mga piling oras at araw lang 'yan.

00:00To help those who will travel with the Christmas rush,
00:04MMDA will allow the provincial buses that pass through EDSA again.
00:10But in those few hours and days, Ian Cruz was able to make it.
00:19Usually, EDSA does not allow the provincial buses to pass through EDSA.
00:24But this Christmas, MMDA will allow the provincial buses to pass through EDSA again.
00:31Starting from December 20 to January 2.
00:34From December 20 to Christmas Day, EDSA will allow the provincial buses from 10pm to 5am.
00:42From December 26 to January 2, EDSA will allow the provincial buses for 24 hours.
00:53It is estimated to be 2,100 bus units in total.
00:57This is to accommodate the passengers.
01:01The turnaround time is faster and they can accommodate more passengers.
01:07Other provincial buses would have been forced to start their journey from EDSA,
01:12but MMDA did not stop them.
01:15Because if they do not go straight to EDSA,
01:17it will add 30 minutes to 1 hour for their bus to enter Metro Manila.
01:23Earlier, I tried going from 9pm to 5am,
01:29but it was already set at 10am, so it's okay.
01:33It's just an additional alternative route.
01:38EDSA, we use Quezon Ave, Skyway, and C5.
01:46If we allow 2,100 buses,
01:50if they are allowed to continue, especially during peak hours,
01:54the traffic will be heavier.
01:58And our peak hours might be extended instead of between 6 to 9.
02:04It might even reach 11 to 12 o'clock.
02:06Based on the latest MMDA figures,
02:08the number of vehicles passing through EDSA every day has reached 464,000.
02:14It is expected to increase to 480,000.
02:17That's why the average speed is 18 kmph.
02:20It can even go up to 15 kmph.
02:24Only EDSA lanes will allow provincial buses.
02:28You cannot pass through the EDSA bus carousel
02:31that is only for buses traveling from Monumento, Calaocan to EDSA Rotonda in Pasay.
02:37After January 2,
02:39EDSA will go back to what it used to do
02:41and prohibit provincial buses from passing through EDSA.
02:45Definitely, EDSA will not allow it anymore.
02:49I will personally oppose any move to bring back provincial buses to EDSA.
02:55It will not be productive anymore.
02:58It will go back to our old state, or even further.
