00:00Another week another issue to talk about regarding Detroit Lions wide receiver
00:04Jamison Williams this time taking an unnecessary unsportsmanlike penalty
00:09against the Chicago Bears and you look at it from the perspective of at that
00:14time of the game it was really a costly penalty but after the game Jamison does
00:19indeed apologize to his teammates. Christian what was your reaction to how
00:23Jamison handled an unfortunate situation? Yeah I think that the penalty was
00:27obviously unnecessary you know he's coming back into the field of play he
00:31just flips the ball and I believe it was Tyreek Stevenson and hits him in the
00:35face actually which is gonna be a penalty ten times out of ten but I'm
00:38really impressed with the story coming out of the locker room from Dan Campbell
00:42talking about how Jamison Williams got up in front of his teammates and
00:45apologized and I know that it's just football and I know that it's whatever
00:49but as an individual getting up in front of your teammates and taking
00:53accountability for a mistake you made it takes a lot of guts it really does
00:57because especially at that level you see egos you see people with a lot of
01:02confidence and sometimes that gets the most and gets the best out of people
01:05instead of them taking accountability so I'm really impressed with Jamison
01:09Williams and his decision to take accountability he's been excellent on
01:12the field for the Lions this year he said to overcome some hurdles off the
01:16field but this is truly looking like a breakout season for the Alabama product.
01:19Yeah and I just think that you look at it from the perspective of yeah if
01:23there's still maturity to happen for Jamison I think there's no better team
01:28for him to grow and develop and mature with than this Detroit Lions football
01:32team with veterans like Amon Rossi Brown and Jared Goff and the coaching staff
01:37but make sure you check out the I do think Antoine Rendell I'll really set
01:42the record straight with them by talking to him on the sideline everybody's
01:45talking about it because look it's a young player but at the same token you
01:50can't do things to hurt the team and by standing up and acknowledging it I agree
01:53with you I think it shows growth and you hope that number one that he learns
01:58from mistakes and keeps contributing at a high level for the Detroit Lions
02:02offense.
