NU Pep Squad reclaims UAAP Cheerdance crown
National University (NU) Pep Squad was named the UAAP Season 87 Cheerdance champion on Sunday, Dec. 1 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
NU brought the universe and the cosmos in their routine to delight the 19,121 spectators, tallying 713 points.
The Sampaloc-based squad claimed their eighth overall cheerdance title to tie with University of the Philippines (UP), and University of Santo Tomas (UST) for having the most number of cheerdance titles.
Aside from their sleek dance routine, the highlight of NU’s performance was their two rotating dancers, mimicking the spinning galaxies.
Adamson University finished second (679.5 points), while defending champion FEU clinched the third spot (650 points).
