A British bulldog has become a local celebrity is his home town due to his uncanny resemblance - to Winston Churchill.

Owner Mark Fletcher, 50, says his six-year-old pooch has become a star since people started pointing out he looked like Britain's great wartime leader.

And in early November he led a Remembrance Day parade in Stourbridge, UK, after being approached by another Winston Churchill lookalike.

00:00Okay then Mark, so we're here at Himley House with Nelson, your dog, great British
00:05bulldog, and he's becoming a bit of a local celebrity isn't he? He is, he's very well
00:13known around Birmingham in the black country. Yeah, so what kind of things does
00:17he get up to? Well he comes to work every day, he's Midland Builders mascot, so he's
00:22used to being out on site and working hard and being with the lads. He's
00:29also the mascot of Coombs Boxing Camp, so he's loved there by the lads and the
00:34girls. He's a little character isn't he? Well, I don't know about little, probably a big character.
00:39No, he's a big dog, he's a big dog, but he's such a big softie. Yeah, and he's done local
00:44events and things hasn't he? He has. He's done a few things with Ian Jones hasn't he?
00:49Who doubles up as Churchill and he walks along with him doesn't he?
00:54He does, he does. He's done the parade in Starbridge, the military parade, over 40
01:00Second World War vehicles, and he led the way with Winston Churchill, so
01:07he's been on the TV and all over social media. Brilliant, and he's got his
01:14own website and things hasn't he? He has, Rich Bulldog Nelson on Instagram, so he's
01:25getting more of a celebrity now. Yeah, and has he got quite a following? He has, and he's
01:29growing each day, and he's just a great companion. He's great, he's wonderful.
01:37So what's the next stop, Hollywood? Hollywood, who knows, who knows. It's along with Ian
01:44Jones as Winston Churchill. Nelson will be doing a few more parades. Yeah, that's brilliant, well I
01:53look forward to seeing him anyway. He's representing the Royal British Legion.
01:57Yeah. Proper British, aren't you Nelson? Well thanks for bringing him along anyway, and
02:04it's great to see him again. No problem. Cheers Mark. Thank you very much.
