Shear line and northeast monsoon to bring scattered rains in Luzon

00:00At the moment, we still have three weather systems that are affected and rainfalls are falling on a large part of our country.

00:08First is the Northeast Monsuno Amihan, which is still falling on a cold and cloudy sky with rainfalls on a large part of Northern and Central Luzon.

00:19Meanwhile, we can also see here in our satellite animation, these clouds here in the Bicol Region area where this is brought by a shear line.

00:28So, our shear line is the combination of cold wind or the wind from the northeast and hot wind from the Pacific Ocean,

00:37or what we call the Easter Leaves, where today, this shear line is still falling with rainfalls here in a large part of Southern Luzon,

00:47here in Metro Manila, and some parts of Visayas.

00:51Meanwhile, we can also see here in our satellite animation, these clouds in some parts of Mindanao, which is brought by the Intertropical Conversion Zone, or ITCC.

01:01Where today, the ITCC will still be brought by heavy rains, lightning, and landslides here in the southern and western sections of Mindanao,

01:11even in a part of Palawan.

01:13So, be careful for our countrymen in the event of floods and landslides.

01:19We do not monitor or observe any low-pressure areas or floods that can enter our area of responsibility and affect our country.

01:29However, in the coming days, we will not remove the possibility that we will have a complete LPA here in the north of Palawan or here in the east of Visayas.

01:41Although we can see that it is possible that there will be a complete LPA, we do not see it as a complete storm.

01:49The shear line is still falling with rainfalls here in some parts of Luzon in the coming days.

01:57The shear line is falling and we still have heavy to intense rains that we will still experience in Quezon, Camarinas Norte, Camarinas Sur, Catanduanes, Albay, and Sorsogon.

02:09Meanwhile, the rains are moderate to heavy in Batangas, Laguna, Marinduque, Romblon, Oriental Mindoro, in parts of Aklan, Masbate, Northern Samar, Biliran, Samar, and Eastern Samar.

02:23So, be careful for our countrymen in the event of floods and landslides.

02:29Meanwhile, tomorrow, we will still experience moderate to heavy rains in parts of Quezon, Camarinas Norte, Camarinas Sur, and Catanduanes.

02:43And for the time being, this Sunday, we will still experience moderate to heavy rains here in Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and in parts of Aurora, Dulut Puyan, and Amihan.

02:58Meanwhile, we will still experience moderate to heavy rains here in Metro Manila, Bicol Region, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon, in parts of Bulacan and Calabar Zone.

03:13So, these rains will again be moderate to heavy, and if there are intense rains, they will result in floods and landslides.

03:24So, be careful for our countrymen, especially those who live in low-lying areas, near hills, rivers, and mountainous areas.

03:34And also, for our countrymen who experienced rains in the past few days.

03:40Meanwhile, in the low-lying areas of Luzon, we will only experience isolated to moderate rains or floods in parts of Amihan.

03:50The average temperature in Metro Manila ranges from 23 to 30 degrees Celsius.

03:57Meanwhile, in parts of Visayas and Mindanao, as well as in parts of Palawan, Dulut, and Shirline, we will still experience widespread rains in western Visayas,

04:07eastern Visayas, as well as in parts of Cebu and occidental Mindoro.

04:12Meanwhile, in parts of ITCZ, we will also experience widespread rains in Palawan, Zamboanga Peninsula, in the area of Soxergen, Davao Region, and also here in Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.

04:27So, again, be careful for our countrymen in the event of floods and landslides.

04:33Meanwhile, in the low-lying areas of Visayas and Mindanao, we will still experience isolated rains, landslides, and landslides, as well as localized thunderstorms.

04:45The average temperature in Cebu is 26 to 31 degrees Celsius, and in Davao, it is 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.

04:54And like Amnihan, we still have a high-level gale warning for the beaches of Isabela, Northern Aurora, the northern and eastern coasts of the Polilio Islands,

05:33According to our monthly climatology track for this month of December, these storms are likely to enter or pass through the northeastern Mindanao or Visayas area

05:45towards the canluran of Southern Luzon, or they can also enter the central Luzon area outside the canluran of Northern Luzon.

05:54And we also have the possibility that these storms will recur and remain far from any part of our land.
