00:09in Isla Puting Bato in Tondo, Manila.

00:17Nida was just happy to be able to tell us

00:21how painful it is for her

00:23to see her house being set on fire

00:26which she has been struggling with for a long time.

00:29Her house was one of those that was set on fire

00:32in Isla Puting Bato in Tondo, Manila last week.

00:37Now, it is in her small shop in Luneta

00:40while Nida and her children are in pain.

00:56Along with the 161th commemoration of Bonifacio Day today,

01:02President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.

01:05led the distribution of aid to the victims of the fire.

01:08Before that, he personally visited and reported

01:12the situation of our countrymen

01:14who are currently staying at the Del Pan Evacuation Center.

01:18Up to P21 million in financial assistance was distributed.

01:23Each family received P10,000 and a family food box

01:28under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation Program

01:32of the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

01:35While more than 2,000 beds and blankets were distributed

01:39to the Office of the President.

01:41So, don't worry.

01:43The city government is here.

01:46The national government is here.

01:48All the agencies and the national government.

01:51Whatever your needs are,

01:56whatever services you all need.

02:00According to the Manila City Public Information Office,

02:04more than 2,000 families,

02:06or equivalent to almost 7,000 individuals,

02:09lost their homes because of the fire.

02:12The local government of Manila also appointed

02:14disaster responders and social workers

02:17to assist the evacuees.

02:20I am thankful to the President of the BBM

02:23for what we are receiving now.

02:25This is a big help to us.

02:29We are thankful to everyone who is helping us

02:32and to all the agencies of the government.

02:35Especially to our President, Mr. Marcos.

02:38Because a lot of things are happening to us here.

02:41What we are receiving is a big thing.

02:44The LGU promised that they will also provide

02:47financial assistance for house reconstruction materials.
