00:00The House leadership stressed it's not their priority to hold any impeachment proceedings against Vice President Sara Duterte.
00:07Meanwhile, some lawmakers expressed disappointment over the Vice President's failure to appear before the National Bureau of Investigation or NBI.

00:18Senior leaders of the House of Representatives reiterated the impeachment of Vice President Sara Duterte is not on the Chamber's agenda.
00:26This following the remarks of President Ferdinand R. Marquez, Jr., saying this is not important as it will just take up all of their time.
00:34In a joint statement issued by House Senior Deputy Speaker Aurelio Don Gonzalez, Jr., Deputy Speaker David J.J. Suarez, and Majority Leader Manix Dalipe,
00:44it was stated their primary focus is on uncovering the truth on the use of confidential fonts of the OVP and DepEd.
00:51This was also echoed by House Assistant Majority Leader Jefferson Congon during a media interview.
00:56We've been saying for a long time that what we're doing in Congress is just work and we don't plan to file an impeachment complaint and this is not discussed in Congress, especially the majority.
01:15On the other hand, the lawmakers also acknowledged it is part of their duty to act should any group file an impeachment complaint.
01:21Thus, they assured the public that they would address it fairly and follow due process.
01:26According to the Makabayan Bloc, they are ready and are continuing to prepare for an impeachment because they believe it is what the situation and the people are calling for.
01:35Of course, we do not take away the right of every organization, of every Filipino who wants to file an impeachment complaint.
01:46We also do not take away the right of anyone in Congress to endorse this.
01:56Meanwhile, the House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability expressed disappointment that Vice President Duterte did not appear before the NBI today, despite their decision to postpone their own hearing.
02:08We can see that our Vice President is in pain because he avoids all issues, like the confidential fund issue of the Office of the Vice President and the Department of Education.
