00:00Barely six weeks are left till Decision Day in May when Filipinos nationwide head to polling sites in their communities
00:08to pick the country's next set of leaders at the national and grassroots levels.
00:14And having reached the height of the campaigning, from now till the 10th of next month,
00:20a number of House Solons have their sights, hearts, and minds locked
00:25in the impending impeachment trial of the sitting Vice President over her alleged misuse of intelligence and confidential funds
00:34to the tune of tens, even hundreds of millions.
00:37Solons in the House Prosecutorial Panel and their support groups claim they are 80% done
00:44in their preparations in gathering evidence and gearing up for potential arguments by their defense counterparts.
00:50Even better, their optimism or confidence has been buoyed by a poll initiated by a student group on 2,000 individual samples
01:01whose results show, among others, nearly 85% favorability to hold the Vice President into account
01:09and remove her from the office based on the evidence gathered thus far and the hearings held last year and this year.
01:17Likewise, another survey result clearly reveals that a major of those sampled wish the Senate to convene immediately
01:25as the impeachment court to begin trial proceedings and finish early.
01:30For his part, Kabataan Partylist Representative Raul Manuel urged the Senate to pay heed to the voices of the youth and their stand on the matter.
