00:00The Commission on Elections, or GOMELEC, has confirmed preparations for the 2025 midterm
00:05polls in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslimandanao, or BARMM,
00:09parliamentary elections are progressing as scheduled.
00:12According to the information gathered by the Philippine News Agency,
00:16GOMELEC Chairperson George Erwin Garcia announced over 100,000 automated counting machines arrived
00:22ahead of schedule, allowing for early hardware tests and providing the Commission
00:27with more time for stress testing. He emphasized the GOMELEC's commitment to transparency by
00:32allowing media and citizens groups to visit and observe the election data centers,
00:37including backup and main servers in Baranyake and Makati.
00:41GOMELEC also plans to publish all logs, certificates of candidacy,
00:44and post-election financial reports, ensuring transparency and public access to election
00:50processes.
