00:00The Commission on Elections, or COMELEC, confirmed that 2025 midterm polls will proceed as scheduled,
00:06despite delays in the printing of ballots. The printing of ballots is now targeted to begin on
00:11January 20. COMELEC announced it will release new ballot phases, which are already in process.
00:18The poll body has also begun updating the election management system and the candidates'
00:23database for the ballots. Meanwhile, the mock elections will be moved on January 25.
00:30The election date is May 12, this year. It will not be reset because it is in the Constitution.
00:40We will proceed with the automated election. That is our law.
00:44Your Commission has no intention of violating our law.
