00:00The Senate passed the third and final reading of the more than 6.3 trillion pesos national budget for the next year.

00:08Eighteen senators voted in favor of this.

00:16Eighteen senators voted in favor to approve the 2025 proposed national budget.

00:24Senate Committee on Finance Chairperson Senator Grace Poe said that they followed their promises.

00:30Every decision is blamed, every fund is assured to have the right purpose.

00:36You were able to form a humane, fair, and reasonable budget.

00:43When it comes to the hot topic of the budget,

00:46like the Office of the Vice President,

00:48as well as the assistance in the Kaposangkita Program or ACAP,

00:52Poe said that it will be known by the Bicameral Conference Committee.

00:56For now, the OVP budget will remain at the level of the General Appropriations Bill,

01:02while the ACAP is at the level of the National Expenditure Program.

01:06Congressmen will need to consult on these two items in the budget.

01:11The senator assured that the budget is sufficient for health, education, livelihood, agriculture, tourism, disaster, and housing.

01:21In order to ensure a sustainable and affordable hospital and medicine for our countrymen,

01:28we increased the fund for medical assistance to indigent and financially incapacitated patients.
