00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. passed the 2025 National Budget,

00:06the largest fund of the Department of Education or DepEd.

00:10BNPTV won the news.

00:16The good start of the administration will continue.

00:20That's what President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. promised

00:24after he passed the 2025 National Budget.

00:28From the original 6.353 trillion proposal budget,

00:32it was reduced to 26 billion pesos,

00:35which became 6.326 trillion pesos

00:38from the National Expenditure Program or NEP of the administration.

00:42The education sector is still leading in passing the largest fund,

00:47which has 1.053 trillion pesos,

00:50which was followed by the Department of Public Works and Highways or DPWH,

00:54which has 1.034 trillion pesos.

00:57The health sector, DSWD, DALG, Department of Agriculture, DOTR, Judiciary, DOLE,

01:07and Department of Justice are also prioritized in the 2025 National Budget.

01:09In his statement, President Marcos Jr. confirmed

01:12that he approved the fund after he vetoed the 194 billion pesos

01:17of line items that are not in line with the administration's agenda for the next year.

01:23He also vetoed some line items of DPWH and unprogrammed funds that reached 300%.

01:30Meanwhile, the President decided to implement under Conditional Implementation

01:36the assistance in the Post-Profit Program or ACAP of the DSWD.

01:40This was not called to ensure that programs will still be implemented

01:44to our poor countrymen,

01:46but the use of the fund must be safe and correct.

01:51To ensure that government assistance is not merely a provisional solution to a persistent issue,

01:58we are compelled to subject the implementation of the Ayuda sa Kapus ng Kita Program or ACAP

02:05to the convergence efforts of the DSWD, DOLE, and DEDA.

02:10This way, we ensure that its implementation will be strategic,

02:15leading to the long-term improvement of the lives of qualified beneficiaries

02:20while guarding against misuse, duplication, and fragmented benefits.

02:26The 10-day deadline for the implementation of the 2025 National Budget

02:30will be remembered from its original schedule.

02:33The proposed bill must be reviewed and studied by the President before it is passed into law.

02:39President Marcos Jr. was the first to assess the proposed 2025 National Budget

02:45together with several heads of concerned agencies.

02:48To the people of the Philippines, we are listening to you.

02:52Thank you for your support of our National Budget

02:56and for recognizing the uniqueness of the President's proposed budget.

03:02You are hopeful of this budget.
