The film is about a cheese factory owner, La Noce, who bribes a monsignor to fix a problem with a newly appointed judge who has shut down his factory for pollution violations. La Noce discovers that the judge has a liking for other men’s wives and sends his assistant, Albertini, to hire a woman to pretend to be La Noce’s wife. Albertini finds a virginal-looking prostitute with a dirty mouth, and the film follows the mix-ups and complications that ensue.
