00:05while ensuring that the chain of command remains strong.

00:15In the midst of the tensions in politics,

00:17the Armed Forces of the Philippines said that there is no need for a loyalty check in their ranks.

00:23First, AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo Browder Jr. reminded the soldiers to remain professional

00:30and to continue their duty to protect the Constitution.

00:35At this point, sir, there is no need for loyalty checks.

00:38Our Chief of Staff has already stated that he trusts that each soldier

00:43will perform its mandate accordingly and remain professional.

00:47The AFP also appealed for them to stay away from the discussion of politics.

00:51Next is the statement of former President Rodrigo Duterte that military action is needed.

00:57What we emphasize here, sir,

00:59the Armed Forces of the Philippines is a non-partisan organization.

01:05We respectfully request that we are shunned away from political issues.

01:09The AFP also emphasized that the chain of command remains strong.

01:14It will remain intact and secured.

01:18We take pride in being military professionals.

01:21Meanwhile, AFP is ready to assist in the investigation

01:26of their two officials who were mentioned in the camera's recording yesterday

01:29regarding the misuse of the funds of the Office of the Vice President and DepEd.

01:35They are Col. Dennis Nolasco, DepEd's security officer,

01:40and Col. Raymond Dante La Chica, head of the Vice Presidential Security and Protection Group.

01:46Confidential funds were first disbursed to them,

01:49although they were also explained in the next hearing.

01:53I can categorically say that they are active officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

02:00If they will be called for investigation, the Armed Forces of the Philippines will assist them.
