Queensland Police have launched an investigation into the death of a two-year-old girl found unresponsive in a car in the state's far north yesterday.

00:00Police have confirmed the toddler was a two-year-old girl.
00:06She was found at the Innisfail Council Building at around 1pm yesterday.
00:11Police are still unsure whether the parents were working at that council building.
