The wife of a man stabbed to death while out celebrating her birthday says his killer should "rot in hell" after finding out he could be released next year. Gasps rang out in the Victorian Supreme Court on Friday 28th March 2025 as Spencer Shumski, 22, was sentenced to a maximum six years behind bars for the manslaughter of Clint Allen. Shumski could be released as early as May 2026 as Rebekah Allen said the sentence devalued her late husband's life. Vision courtesy: AAP

00:00I'm not the same person I was two years ago. I'll never be that person again.
00:09And even the judge said I can't celebrate my birthday.
00:12Because he was murdered 55 minutes after my birthday ended.
00:18And the only thing that I can think about going forward is to push for change in regards to bail laws,
00:25because he was out on bail.
00:27And to push for change with minimum servicing for manslaughter as well.
00:32I want to beg something come of this to help the next family
00:36because he's going to be out next year in sale and probably kill someone else.
