Day one of the Labor campaign has begun right in Peter Dutton’s territory. Anthony Albanese has visited an urgent care clinic on Brisbane’s outskirts and in the opposition leader’s marginal electorate. He says Labor is in this election to win seats, not just hang on to office.

00:20He's turning to an area seen as a Labor strength, health, pitching Labor's commitments to more

00:26But the strongest message is starting this campaign in Queensland, with the PM insisting
00:31he's in this election to win more seats, not defend those Labor already holds.

01:17The PM was also asked if he's trying to draw comparisons between the opposition leader
01:21and US President Donald Trump.
01:23Anthony Albanese says he's accusing Peter Dutton of borrowing policy ideas from abroad,
01:28but not naming Mr Trump by name.
01:30Look, I will define Mr Dutton's policies by him rather than by someone else.
01:39It's quite clear though that a range of policies he put forward are things that have been borrowed.
01:47You know, he might run out of policy announcements when he runs out of toner in the photocopier.
01:52It's a busy first day of campaigning for Anthony Albanese.
01:54He'll have multiple events in multiple states.
01:57Expect the campaign to move to some more competitive places soon like New South Wales and Victoria,
