00:00Hi everyone, so today I'm out at Hedges Direct in Chorley and I've got my visor on, so let's
00:09see what it's all about.
00:12Hi Jamie, so can you tell us what your role is within Hedges Direct?
00:16Hi, yeah, so I'm Jamie, obviously, I'm the MD, I've been with Hedges for 15 years, so
00:22I've been here quite a while now.
00:25Hedges was founded in 2005, so next year is our 20th anniversary, so it's quite a big
00:31one coming up.
00:32What does Hedges Direct do?
00:34Well, we sell hedging, trees, shrubs, topiary, basically anything that's difficult to get
00:39in your car at the garden centre is what we spend our time delivering to customers.
00:44We deliver all over the UK, so our customers come from far and wide, we deliver things
00:50in parcels or on pallets for any bigger hedging, and hedging really is our speciality.
00:56I think what sets us apart from everybody else is that we have that real focus just
01:02on hedging.
01:03We know hedging is a structural part of the garden, so it's completely different to what
01:08you would find in a garden centre.
01:10We're not trying to be a garden centre online, there's lots of lovely things to go and see
01:15at the garden centre, and one of them is not really hedging.
01:19So this is our site in Chorley, it's 15 acres, we dispatch all of our orders from here, we
01:26can have a little look around.
01:27Yeah, let's take a look around for our raiders.
01:32So this is just some of the 15 acres of land, but however, customers, you have to book in,
01:40you can't just obviously, for health and safety reasons, you can't just rock up, but yeah,
01:46pick a tree, any tree guys.
