00:00Starting next year, there will be a monthly consultative meeting between the Agriculture Department,
00:08the Ministry of Agriculture and several other stakeholders in the agriculture sector.
00:14IKDA Secretary Francisco T. Laurel Jr.
00:18aims to build a more comprehensive response to the problems faced by the sector.
00:25He also hopes to streamline the decision-making process
00:30so that there will be direct support to help modernize the agriculture sector,
00:38increase local production, and increase food accessibility.
00:43The monthly consultative meeting will start this January 15.
00:49The major task of the council is to discuss
00:54every single major crop every month,
00:59not only when there is an issue, but also when they will go to the DA.
