00:00And at this point, we will discuss an update on the programs of the current administration here in Mr. President on the Goal.
00:23First of all, fellow countrymen, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. assured that the government's commitment to the rapid recovery of areas affected by the calamities that hit the country.
00:36In response, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led the distribution of assistance to the communities affected by the Super Typhoon Pepito when the President visited the Berat Sports Complex in Catanduanes yesterday, November 19.
00:55President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. himself received a check worth Php 50 million from the Office of the President for the Provincial Government of Catanduanes.
01:08Aside from this, the Department of Social Welfare and Development or DSWD also distributed food packs to the victims of the typhoon.
01:17And the government really did its part for our affected countrymen because of the typhoon.
01:24Meanwhile, even before the program was conducted, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. conducted an aerial inspection in the entire province of Catanduanes
01:33to reassess the extent of the damage caused by the Super Typhoon Pepito that landfalled in Catanduanes on November 16.
01:42President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. also accompanied some members of his Cabinet to personally assess the needs of the residents of the province.
01:51DPWH Secretary Manny Bonoan was also there for the repair of the damaged infrastructure.
01:57To help those affected by the typhoon, DOLAS Secretary Benny Laguzma and DILG Secretary John Vicremulia were also there for the coordination of the national government and LGU officials.
02:11President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. assured that as long as there is a need for help, the government will provide assistance until the affected families are fully recovered.
