Some pub chains are considering bringing in surge pricing, meaning drinks will be more expensive during busier times and cheaper during quieter times. We took to Argyle Street to see what people think of this.

00:00I don't think it's fair on the people that's going into it, do you know what I mean?
00:03The locals that used to have the normal price and the other ones were just walking off the street.
00:08Well, what do you think? Well that's what I think anyway.
00:12The regulars, no, because they're there all year round, do you know what I mean?
00:16I think that's right. It should be the same price all the time.
00:19I think that's absolutely nonsense.
00:21If in fact electric companies, power companies did that,
00:27maybe that makes sense, but not for pubs and clubs or whatever.
00:34In fact, there's a pub that I go to that I can still get a pint or cider for £1.99, believe it or not.
00:41Whereabouts is that?
00:43It's in Hope Street and I'm not telling you the name yet.
00:46I don't know, it should be the same price all the time.
00:50It shouldn't be that this time of the year or a certain time of the year,
00:54it should be the same price all the way round.
