Morley locals reflect on pub closures and the price of alcohol.
Transcript
00:00 Well I think generally alcohol is very overpriced. I barely drink in any event so again I'm not the right person to ask.
00:07 But generally I'll go to a pub if it's got a restaurant. So you know there are really rather good value ones at places like the Toby Carvery where you can get a drink at a reasonable price and get a meal and so on.
00:19 I haven't really drank in 20 years. Being a professional driver it's a no starter really for me and I'd have to be on holiday for a week really.
00:32 But I have noticed driving up and down the country the massive closure of pubs across the UK. It's a sad reflection of our society once upon a time.
00:44 That's how most couples met their partners, going to the local pub. So it's a very sad reflection there.
00:53 Thank God for a certain brand in the high street here. I don't know if I'm allowed to mention them.
