00:00Sabah Mineral Management, Sendram Berhad, has accused former CEO, Jonti N. Gihon, of

00:10SMM CEO, Natasha Sim, said an internal probe revealed Jonti's alleged wrongdoings to the
00:16board, which included breaches of fiduciary duties, fraudulent activities, misrepresentation
00:22to the SMM Board of Directors, and misconduct.
00:26Jonti was also found to have acted beyond his authority to benefit entities with potential
00:31conflicts of interest, without the knowledge of the Board of Directors.
00:34SMM has engaged lawyers to explore filing a civil suit against Jonti for financial and
00:40reputational damages.
00:42Sim reiterated SMM's commitment to upholding good governance, adding that the company is
00:47cooperating fully with the MACC and police in their investigations.
00:52Jonti is accused of colluding with a whistleblower behind videos alleging corruption involving
00:57several Sabah Assemblymen.
01:00He has denied the allegations, calling the claim that he acted as a middleman a total
01:04lie, asserting that he has evidence of Sabah Chief Minister, Hajiji Nor's alleged abuse
01:09of power.
01:10However, Hajiji has pledged full cooperation, stating he has nothing to hide.
