00:33Russia launched a massive attack early on Sunday, hitting targets across Ukraine with
00:38around 120 missiles and 90 drones.
00:42Here in the southern city of Mykolaiv, two people were killed and six others were injured,
00:47including two children, President Volodymyr Zelensky said.
00:51Russia also targeted parts of Ukraine's energy infrastructure across the country, just as
00:56winter is approaching. Its strikes have been hammering power plants ever since it invaded
01:01in February 2022.
01:06Two people were killed in the Odessa region, where the attack damaged energy infrastructure
01:11and disrupted both power and water supplies, the local governor reported.
01:15The barrage included Iranian-made drones, as well as cruise, ballistic and aircraft
01:21launch missiles. Air defences shot down 140 targets, Zelensky claimed.
01:27The operational command of Poland's armed forces also reported that Polish and other
01:32Western aircraft were mobilised as the strikes came in.
01:40Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky has said he hopes the war with Russia will end
01:44in 2025 through diplomatic means.
01:48He also claimed that Ukraine's military has become one of the most powerful in the world.

03:50It was Mohamed Afif, the head of media relations for Hezbollah, who was killed in the Arab
03:54Socialist Baath Party's office building.
03:58Israel also struck seven buildings in southern suburbs of Beirut one hour after posting evacuation
04:03warnings on social media platform X.
04:06The Hezbollah militant group has a strong presence in the area known as the Daae.
04:11Their strikes continue to intensify ahead of Lebanon's expected response to a United
04:15States-brokered ceasefire proposal.
04:18In the Hadath municipality, civil defense first responders rushed to the site of the
04:23strike to search for bodies under the rubble.
04:26More than 3,400 people have been killed in Lebanon, according to the country's health
04:30ministry, and over 1.2 million driven from their homes.
04:34It's not known how many of the dead are Hezbollah fighters.
04:37On the Israeli side, Hezbollah's aerial attacks have killed at least 76 people, including
04:4231 soldiers, and caused some 60,000 people to flee from communities in the north.
