00:00it's been a struggle as of late. Joe, this will be the fifth
00:04game for UGA in SEC action. Laying less than three scores.
00:09Less than three points. It's been a struggle as of late.
00:13Niko Ayameleava did not play in the second half last week of
00:17the Volunteers victory against Mississippi State. It was
00:20Gaston Moore but Nikki Nikki Treats was pretty good in the
00:24opening half. His best production that we had seen in
00:27the second half. Laying less than three scores. Less than
00:31seventeen points. In the first four, Carson Beck has recorded
00:35multiple turnovers in all four of those games. This, of course,
00:39less than three scores. Just nine and a half in favor of UGA
00:43but start with that quarterback comparison. Which team has the
00:46edge? I still give the edge to Carson Beck because again, he's
00:50played in bigger games up until this point. Hasn't performed
00:53well like I mentioned over the last four weeks but if you're
00:57suggest that playing at home in this type of situation, he
01:00breaks out. Again, he's gotta get through that 263 and a half
01:04for Georgia in my opinion to cover the number and to really
01:08press tempo. That is the way Georgia's gonna win this, right?
01:11Press tempo, force the game on to Niko, force them to get them
01:15out of the game plan and run in the football which we know
01:17Tennessee wants to do. So, I give the edge to Beck in a
01:20bounce back role but again, Kev, he throws 185, 170. This is a
01:26game that should favor Tennessee in terms of the spread
01:29if he's in that area. Yes, spread. Let's see. That's the
01:32interesting thing with Georgia, right? And I think this is why
01:34you know, there's such a point of contention but for me with
01:37the Bulldogs, they do not need back to play well even. Again,
01:41like if it's Gaston Moore, don't be surprised if they win this
01:45game by thirty. I'm like, do not be surprised if they destroy
01:49Tennessee in this game which would shock us either, right?
01:53But what I'm interested in is can Beck find his level at any
01:59point? One of the reasons that I last week thought that they
02:03would roll Ole Miss is I expected Beck to bounce back. I
02:07just think he's so much pedigree about him that that would
02:09eventually happen and it didn't and he's not been able to find
02:13that rhythm at all and that's the concern to me still when it
02:16comes to Georgia winning a championship but the reason I
02:20We have not seen Georgia not look the level of everyone else
02:25in the country. That is my honest opinion. I look at their
02:28resume. I look at their win against Texas. I look at their
02:30win against Clemson and I and I compare that to Ohio State who
02:35had a narrow loss at Oregon, a great win at Penn State, all
02:39things considered and I go, yeah, those are comparable
02:42teams. If they played on a neutral field, the game would
02:44be under a field goal either direction but I think we are
02:46now discussing Georgia as if they would be a touchdown dog
02:49in that game and they just flatly would not be. Absolutely
02:52so and again, when you look at Georgia in comparison based on
02:56power rating and what that spread would be, UGA is still a
02:59pretty solid price to win a national championship with what
03:02they can be but Carson Beck has to be so much better. The
03:05offense as a whole has to be so much better because for me
03:09entering this matchup, Tennessee is the elite defense
03:12although the dogs have improved on that side of the football
03:15but in seven SEC games so far this year for UGA, ten
03:19touchdowns to twelve interceptions for Carson Beck
03:23and Kev, this is a team in their final SEC game of the year
03:26today against the Volunteers. Yeah, again, for Georgia,
03:29there's a long line. You have to forgive me but I wanted to
03:31make sure I ask this question especially with you who does
03:33the rankings on our show here. How would you handle today if
03:36Tennessee goes out there with Gaston Moore? Destroyed. You
03:40know what I mean? Lose by seventeen or so. Yeah. How do
03:42you handle ranking the Vols with a backup quarterback in
03:45Athens? I think you would look at Tennessee in a similar way
03:48based on odds expectation. Two and four against the spread
03:51this year in SEC action. If they were to get rolled today
03:54against a Georgia team even with a backup because they will
03:58rely on that defense or Dylan Sampson on the ground even if
04:02Nico is going to play and he is. He has cleared concussion
04:05protocol and you saw the props listed. Tennessee needs to stay
04:08in this game through its ground attack and its defense to limit
04:11a Georgia offense that has struggled. We've talked about
04:13in a couple of spots. I know Nico has all the pedigree and
04:17he is so much better than Gaston Moore who is just five of
04:20eight last week for thirty-five yards didn't lead a couple of
04:23scoring drives but he hasn't been sensational this year and
04:26the Volunteers offense has not been great in SEC play. To me,
04:29this is a ground game for Tennessee and the defense
04:33winning the day. So, thus, if the Volunteers get rolled, I
04:36think it's a big blemish on their resume in spots where
04:39they need to step up.
