00:00Georgia, not a lot of time to figure things out. Back at home
00:07between the hedges tonight in Athens as a nine and a half
00:11point favorite against Tennessee. It's the best game of
00:14the week. So in these seven days, what do you think Kirby
00:18smart has been instilling in his dogs team?
00:22Well, their backs to the wall, though they know about playing
00:24for champions, and their backs to the wall, they've got to have
00:28this one, but they're playing Tennessee at home. And that's a
00:30huge home field advantage. Every time I went in there, it was a
00:34hard to get a win when you go against Georgia at home. But
00:37Georgia does not run the ball well enough. I don't think they
00:40can solve it this year to give the quarterback Carson Beck
00:43chances to throw the ball when it's not a passing situation.
00:47On the other hand, Tennessee, their office isn't quite the
00:51same either. Nico is not hitting the deep ball. He's banged up
00:55right now. And I think he'll be 100%. But even when he's 100%,
00:58their office needs him to throw the deep ball. So it comes down
01:02to a great Tennessee defense, their ability to stop the run.
01:07And can George's go out there and play airless football and
01:09not turn the ball over. That's why when they're at the bottom
01:12of the end of the day, I think George is going to pull the wind
01:14off. They're not going to be Tennessee in the spread. I take
01:17their points at this game. But I'm gonna go with Georgia. I
01:20just think I've never seen them lose to a year much less two in
01:23a row.
01:24Coach, let's keep it at Georgia. Their offense has been a little
01:28inconsistent. They're not running the football effectively.
01:31Third down is a cause of concern. And I think the biggest
01:34issue now is Carson Beck nine interceptions over the last four
01:38weeks, as a coach, and more importantly, the offensive staff
01:41and Mike Bobo, how can they limit the turnovers by Carson
01:45Beck? Is it maybe short throws to get them into a rhythm
01:48because you want them to have confidence, especially early on
01:51at home?
01:53Well, I think you saw that in the second half against Ole Miss
01:55where he rolled out and through shorter passes, but like the
01:59ways they can't solve this, they don't run the ball well enough.
02:02And I'll say this, they don't have the tight end they had
02:05last year, when you have to have a short completion, you got to
02:08have a great title, they don't have that. And so really, Carson
02:10Beck is part of the part of the problem, because he's pressuring
02:14himself to make things happen when they're not there. And so
02:17what he's got to do is not think he can win it on his own, run
02:20run enough, run the ball enough to keep the can close and depend
02:23on your defense against the Tennessee team that's not
02:26hitting the vertical pass, not hitting the deep ball as much
02:29either.
