00:49Our government has an agreement with the Korean government to do a feasibility study of the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant.

00:58Aside from Bataan, the Department of Energy is also conducting a site assessment for locations where nuclear power plants may be built.

01:07According to the DOE in 2019, the acceptance rate of Filipinos in using nuclear energy as part of the energy mix is 70%.

01:17The government is also coordinating with several private institutions and countries for skills training in the operation of nuclear energy.

01:25Meralko also has its own scholarships.

01:29Other companies are also doing it, like our major companies.

01:33And also, these countries are volunteering to host our students also, like Japan.

01:40We've had trainings also in France.

01:45And in Canada, we have a lot of scientists going there.

01:49Energy Regulatory Commission Chairperson and COO Monalisa Di Malanta and Department of Health Secretary Teodoro Herbosa are also present in the program.

01:58According to Secretary Herbosa, nuclear treatment is also a big help for cancer cure.

02:03While delegations from energy companies in South Korea are discussing nuclear supply chain development and advancement,

02:11while Japan is discussing nuclear safety.
