00:59bringing, after the selection of the material, all the aluminum collected in one of the recycling foundries in the territory, in total we have 11.
01:08With an average of 70%, the recycling rate of aluminum packaging in Italy
01:12therefore exceeds in abundance, for a few years now, the objectives of the European Union at 2025, 50%, and 2030, 60%.
01:21Important numbers that have allowed to avoid greenhouse emissions equal to 417,000 tons of CO2
01:27and to save energy for over 182,000 equivalent tons of oil.
01:32Aluminum can be considered the perfect paradigm of the circular economy,
01:37first of all because it is a material that is completely recycled, 100%, nothing is thrown away,
01:43and above all because it can undergo innumerable and infinite recycling cycles without losing its characteristics,
01:51in the sense that you will never recognize if the aluminum, an object made of aluminum, is made of primary aluminum,
01:58from bauxite, or is made of secondary aluminum.
02:01All the aluminum produced in Italy comes from recycling.
02:04Thanks to its properties, when we talk about aluminum, we are not only talking about use and throw, but use and recycling.
02:10Because, just look at the data, even 75% of the aluminum ever produced in history is still in circulation,
02:17thanks to what we said, innumerable recycling phases that allow to remain essentially the same, despite multiple and infinite uses.
