The Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) confirmed that six members of the Malaysian Battalion (Malbatt) were injured after an Israeli strike on the southern Lebanese city of Sidon on Thursday (Nov 7).

Also wounded were three Lebanese soldiers while three Lebanese citizens were killed.

00:18The Lebanese army said the strike targeted a car carrying the three passengers while
00:22it was passing an army checkpoint.
00:25It also caused damage to a bus transporting Malbat personnel.
00:29They were part of a UN convoy bringing newly arrived peacekeepers to south Lebanon and
00:33passing Sidon when a drone strike occurred nearby.
00:37MF said five Malbat personnel suffered various minor injuries, while another sustained a
00:43suspected closed fracture to the left arm.
00:46Meanwhile, Defense Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said the government has a contingency
00:52plan in case the situation in southern Lebanon worsens and the UN Interim Force in Lebanon
00:58decides to withdraw because of Israel's aggressive actions.
01:02He added that for now, the country's commitment continues like other nations that send military
01:07personnel to Lebanon.
