00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. strengthened a law that is expected to strengthen the ability of the Filipino workers

00:08against the threat of a jobs mismatch.

00:11The details are in the news of the country of Bien Manalo of TTV Manila.

00:16Manolito Rojas has been a factory worker for more than 2 years in Navotas.

00:20But because of his kidney disease and his desire to increase his income,

00:25he left the company he was working for and joined TESDA

00:30and got refrigeration and air-conditioning servicing or DOMRACA.

00:34It's a big help to someone like me who didn't finish school.

00:40Once I finish this, I can increase my work and my salary will increase.

00:47I am thankful to the government for establishing this law

00:50because it's a big help to someone like me who didn't finish school

00:58but has the opportunity to become a skilled worker.

01:04because President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. strengthened the Enterprise-Based Education and Training

01:10or EBET Framework Act today.

01:13This proves that the dedication and contribution of various sectors

01:18in strengthening technical vocational education and enterprise-based training programs will not be forgiven.

01:24The aim is to address the job skills mismatch, reduce unemployment and underemployment

01:30and ensure that all Filipino workers are globally competitive

01:34and ready for any changes in the labor market.

01:43Ensuring that every Filipino can contribute and benefit from our nation's growth.

01:50This legislative milestone is based on the government's commitment

01:54to strengthen, improve and unify the various ways of enterprise-based training under one framework.

02:02Meanwhile, the President approved the positive results of the Labor Force Survey of the Philippine Statistics Authority.

02:10According to the PSA, the employment rate increased by 96.3% in September

02:16from 95.5% in the same month last year

02:20while the unemployment rate decreased by 3.7% from 4.5% compared to last year.

02:27Through this act, we will harness private sector partnerships

02:31to align our training programs with real world industry needs.

02:37Through this act, the government and private sectors will be more stable

02:43in providing training to Filipino workers

02:46who have the ability to meet their needs

02:50and create a brighter and better future for all Filipinos.
