00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. is targeting local agricultural seed production
00:07with the help of graduates from state universities and colleges.
00:11The President laid out in his statement
00:14the cooperation with the Private Sector Advisory Council or PSAC Agricultural Sector
00:20where the government is recommended to strengthen local seed production
00:24to meet the expected food security.
00:27According to President Marcos, Jr.,
00:29the graduates from agricultural SUCs will focus on seed production
00:34while our fellow countrymen will grow and plant these seeds.
00:39In addition, the President added that instead of growing these seeds,
00:43these seeds will be used for research and development.
00:47According to the Executive Board,
00:49not only agricultural graduates will be given the opportunity
00:53because even if they are aliens,
00:54the SUCs can earn money because the government will help them
00:58under contract farming.
