00:00Key socio-economic reforms and initiatives of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. have yielded good results.
00:08According to the Labor Force Survey, the employment rate in the Philippines increased by 96.3% this September
00:15compared to the previous year, which was only 95.5%.
00:19Because of this, the country had an additional 2.2 million employed workers.
00:24On the other hand, the unemployment rate dropped by 3.7% in the same month from 4.5% in the previous year.
00:32According to Labor Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma,
00:35this is due to the socio-economic reforms and initiatives of the government under the leadership of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
00:44The labor force participation rate also increased by 65.7%
00:50where the number of prime working age individuals increased by 1.1 million
00:55and the number of women increased by 1.2 million
00:58where the number of women in the workforce in our country also increased by 55.7%.
01:06Meanwhile, the underemployment rate in the country increased by 11.9%.
01:12According to the Labor Force Survey, this is a positive indication of the number of available jobs for our countrymen.
01:18Because of this, the government agreed to provide quality jobs for the country and private sectors.
