00:04there's also something that tourists are looking forward to every November.

00:17Every year, in November,

00:19the Subaru Biodiversity Festival is held in the city of Puerto Princesa in Palawan.

00:26It started with the success of the Puerto Princesa Underground River

00:29that was part of the New 7 Wonders of Nature in 2011.

00:33It was recommended by tourists every year to enjoy and witness different activities

00:40such as the International Bird Photography Race.

00:43But what most people don't know is where did this festival originate from.

00:48Subaraw is a Puyunan word.

00:52Suba means river because we have an underground river.

00:57And Taraw is our mountain karst cliff.

01:01This Subaru Biodiversity Festival is where we show

01:06the different biodiversity and different connections of our ecosystem

01:11from the sea and the jungle.

01:14The opening of the Subaru Biodiversity Festival this year started on November 5

01:19and will last for a month.

01:21This is where different activities are held

01:24such as the Dance Drama Competition,

01:26Fun Ride for those who love to ride a bicycle,

01:29Photography Contest,

01:30Youth Congress,

01:31and many more.

01:33A part of the activity is the entrance of the tourists

01:38to the beautiful underground river.

01:40Outside or inside the cave,

01:42the Instagrammable beautiful place is there.

01:46When you enter the cave,

01:48this is where you can see the beautiful formation of stalactites and stalagmites.

01:54The City Administration of Puerto Princesa is expecting

01:57the increase of tourists this month.

02:00That's why they call on the tourists to maintain the cleanliness

02:04of the largest river in the country.
