00:00Some congressmen have already submitted their doubts regarding the confidential funds of the offices of Vice President Sara Duterte.

00:10Again, the congressmen were given envelopes from Vice President Simela Lesmora in Seto na Balita Live.

00:20Angelic, the congressmen are now in charge of what appears to be a dissolution of the Office of the Vice President in the House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability.

00:32Yesterday, in the fourth hearing of the committee, there were new regulations that were passed by the lawmakers.

00:58Another official of the Department of Education said that she received a huge amount of money from the office of Vice President Sara Duterte when she was still in DepEd.

01:10And that was DepEd Chief Accountant Maria Runa Catalan.

01:14In the fourth hearing of the House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability regarding the misuse of funds by the OVP and DepEd,

01:23the congressmen blamed the liquidation documents regarding the confidential funds of the offices of Vice President Duterte.

01:32This is when Catalan received the envelope, along with the signature of the documents for the liquidation of the funds,

01:40which was pressured by Niales Umano to follow Catalan's orders.

01:45Sir, the first time I received it, I honestly asked Usec Shine,

01:51Ma'am, is it part of the confidential funds?

01:55He said, no, it was just an allowance from the Vice President.

01:59So for me, honestly, I received it knowing that it was not part of the confidential funds.

02:07Usec Sunshine Fajarda.

02:10Who requested you to sign the accounting report?

02:19It was also Usec Shine Fajarda.

02:22The former Vice President Sunshine Fajarda was only one of the seven officials that the committee faced during the hearing,

02:28but not all of them were present.

02:31The committee secretary also noted that the chief of staff of Vice President Duterte, Usec Zuleika Lopez,

02:37also flew to America in the middle of the House probe, where she was also faced.

02:43The OVP confirmed Lopez's trip, but they insisted that it was a personal trip

02:49and that it was not true that she left for her job.

02:55Some OVP officials also insisted that the committee should call her,

03:00but they insisted that she did not attend the hearing because they believe that she did not follow it in aid of legislation.

03:07The congressmen also insisted that they wanted the truth of the issue,

03:13especially the money of the people, to be discussed here.

03:18We are just pursuing the truth here.

03:21We are just explaining how the money was spent.

03:31If they will not come for the fifth time, then I might make a motion to hold them in contempt

03:38because this is the fourth time.

03:42This is unfair to these people here who have attended every time that they are called upon.

03:55the lawmakers clarified that it does not mean that there are various misunderstandings in the office of the Vice President.

04:46they will be able to form new committees so that the use of government funds will be stricter.
