Votes are being counted, stages are being set for Harris and Trump on Election Day  Votes are being counted and stages are being set for US presidential nominees, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, on Election Day, November 5.  Supporters and campaign workers for Harris will await results on election night at the campaign headquarters for Democrats Kamala Harris and Tim Waltz at Howard University in Washington, D.C.  Republicans Donald Trump and his running mate JD Vance will gather with supporters at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach, Florida.  Pennsylvania did not have a clear winner in 2020 for four days after Election Day, as officials sifted through a huge backlog of mail ballots.  The state is among only a handful that do not permit election workers to process or tabulate mail ballots until 7 a.m. ET on Election Day, which means it will likely again take days before the outcome is known.  Opinion polls before the election showed the candidates running neck and neck in each of the seven states likely to determine the winner: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
