In a nail-biting 2024 U.S. presidential election, the race between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris has become even more intense. As key swing states continue to tally votes, Harris has surged ahead in several regions, narrowing the gap between the two contenders. Trump, however, is inching closer to the critical 270 electoral votes, with pivotal battleground states proving key to the outcome. Both candidates are pushing hard for support in crucial areas like Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Florida, where the final results could determine the nation's next leader. Harris’s resurgence has raised new hopes among Democrats, but Trump’s steady advance toward the majority mark keeps the race on a razor's edge. The details are as per the updates while filing the story. Further updates will be given.

00:00This passion that he had which is the other side of this issue. We've been talking about with this immigration issue
00:05Which is that you know?
00:07We are have lived through another yet another campaign cycle another year of incredibly divisive rhetoric
00:14You know rhetoric that people call
00:17Are not used to hearing and you know when you hear words like poison
00:21it
00:23Tends to divide people right? This is this is this is the challenge
00:27That Trump had when he was president
00:29You know when he was president in his first term in office
00:33And he hasn't changed his rhetoric a lot and there are still a lot of Americans who are very turned off by it
00:39So when I hear it, you know, I hear about some of the challenges that will be happening in politics should
00:47Trump end up being elected tonight, but also it's a it's a question of
00:53What kind of politics do people want because Marco also talked about this idea of you know, you don't vote
00:59You know, you shouldn't be able to say anything
01:01People are are eager
01:03I think the people I've seen across the country and met across the country are eager to have conversations with each other
01:08They're eager to be sort of
01:10decent Americans to each other as much as they can
01:12They feel like it's very difficult now and you because of some of this rhetoric and because of some of the way the politics works
01:18now
01:19So I think that this is something that we should all are all gonna be hearing a lot about and thinking a lot about in
01:24The coming weeks and months years and everything else when you go to c-span org slash
01:29Results and you pull up the magic map, which it really truly is
01:35You get a map there and all the states that have been declared for
01:41Kamala Harris are in dark blue the ones that have been declared for Donald Trump are in
01:48Dark red no surprises yet. But guess what? There are one, two, three, four, five six still uncalled all
01:58You know of the seven North Carolina is the only one of the battleground states that has been called that was called for Donald Trump
02:07Georgia according to the Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger down there says that it is Donald Trump's to win and
02:16Three of four the other
02:18Battlegrounds all are red tinged right now because he is in the lead there
02:23But when you look you can click on each of the states and you can do this yourself and you can see where
02:30Votes are still outstanding
02:32and what votes have come in already so you can kind of do your own calculations and see if
02:39How you know true this is the only state that has no color on it is Nevada at this point
02:46It is still you know standing out there white. It's not red nor blue nor nor neutral comes in late tons of mail vote
02:55mail-in vote to count a lot of early vote to count, you know, they
03:00Nevada keeps us hanging. They keep us hanging on
03:03Well in about 15 minutes
03:06we will
03:09See the results from Hawaii
03:11I don't think they'll be surprised for anyone the Senate race and the presidential race when their polls close
03:17Greta brauner. What do you got for us?
03:20Let's check in on those light blue light red states that you were just talking about on the map beginning with Wisconsin
03:27Want to update our viewers now?
03:3069% of the vote is in and the former president holding on to his lead so far in Wisconsin
03:36Moving on to Pennsylvania the other brick in the blue wall for
03:42Democrats 19 electoral votes 81% of the vote is in and the former president still maintains a
03:50lead moving on to Michigan the third brick in the blue wall and there are
03:5615 electoral votes at stake 40% of the vote is in so still quite a ways to go in
04:04Michigan and
04:06Jonathan Osteen who reports out of Michigan politics reporter says Trump is leading in Michigan according to current AP
04:14Results, but those figures don't include Detroit numbers that the city has posted online

04:27Michigan tonight. Let's go back to the states the battleground states in
04:33Georgia and give you an update there
04:3516 electoral votes at stake
04:3891% of the vote is in here

04:48Moving on to North Carolina as we said earlier
04:51This was called by the Associated Press for the former president. So he gets those 16 electoral votes
04:59Virginia this is one that we have been watching this evening to see what happens here and
05:06It looked tight before but Kamala Harris
05:10gets the red check in the state of Virginia with 83% of the vote in and
05:16Then we're going to end with that Texas Senate race that we were talking about earlier
05:21the total spending by
05:24Candidates and outside groups was hundreds of millions of dollars
05:28Senator Ted Cruz is able to hold on to that seat for
