Voters in 10 states will decide on whether or not their state should legally protect abortion rights on Tuesday, the latest in a string of abortion-related ballot measures since Roe v. Wade was overturned—all of which have previously come out in favor of abortion rights, though it remains to be seen if these ballot.

00:23Four of those state ballot measures seek to enshrine abortion in their state constitutions
00:27— Arizona, Colorado, Maryland, and Missouri.
00:33Three other states' ballot measures seek to protect abortion until viability — Montana,
00:38Florida, and Nevada.
00:41Other ballot measures are a bit more complex.
00:44For example, South Dakota's Amendment G seeks to change the state constitution to
00:49allow for no restriction on abortion in the first trimester of pregnancy, but impose escalating
00:54restrictions on abortion further into a pregnancy, except in cases where a mother's health
00:59is at risk.
01:01New York's Proposal 1 would amend anti-discrimination language in New York's constitution to include
01:07protection from discrimination based on, quote, pregnancy, pregnancy outcomes, and reproductive
01:13health care and autonomy, ensuring abortion will remain legal in the state.
01:19And in Nebraska, there are two competing ballot measures — one to overturn the 12-week
01:24ban and place no restrictions on abortion in the first trimester, while one would enshrine
01:29the 12-week ban, making abortion illegal after the first trimester.
01:35Most of these measures need a simple majority to pass.
01:38Florida's ballot measure has a 60% threshold, Colorado a 55% threshold, and Nebraska has
01:45a threshold of 35% of overall number of votes cast in the election to pass.
