00:00Cosplaying is cool. I've got friends who cosplay, and they have other friends who cosplay,
00:05and I think they're all really cool. So it's especially cool to see people within
00:09wrestling, which I also think is a bit cool, like to cosplay too with their entrances and
00:14attire. It's always fun to set up from your sofa like that Leo DiCaprio meme and shout
00:18I understood that reference. There are some who do it to psych out their opponents, like
00:23Seth Rolling cosplaying as Rey Mysterio for their few dusty roads recently for his Hell
00:27in a Cell match against Cody, and as himself from 5 years ago for his Rumble match against
00:32Roman Reigns. But these are pure cosplaying references, and look, I'm bound to miss loads
00:37of them, so please hit me up in the comments or on Twitter and tell me which ones I didn't
00:42include on this list, because I want to see them all. I am WrestleTalk's resident dweeb
00:47geek Luko inhaling from parts unknown, and this is the 10 Best Cosplaying Entrances Ever.
00:54And why not cosplay as someone who wants to hit the subscribe button and watch other PF
00:57K-List videos? He'll be the talk of the town.
01:00Honourable Mention, Johnny Gargano is a nerd. Fun fact, Johnny Gargano is such a nerd that
01:05he named his kid after Peter Quill from Guardians of the Galaxy, and has done several NXT takeover
01:11events with outfits based on Venom, Iron Man, Wolverine, The Punisher and more. NERD! Makes
01:17me want to be like Ogre from Avenger the Nerds and shout NERDS! I would never go to an event
01:23like, oh, I don't know, a screening of Ghostbusters for the 30th anniversary wearing a homemade
01:28Ghostbusters outfit with the real Ghostbusters proton pack I had when I was a kid. Nope,
01:31not me, I'm the cool one in the office.
01:34Number 10, Charlotte Flair as Agatha Harkness. Many of the stars listed here are habitual
01:39cosplayers, and surprisingly, Charlotte Flair's become one of them. In particular, 2021 was
01:44the year of cosplays for the Queen, as she dressed as Maleficent at Hell in a Cell, Thanos
01:48at SummerSlam, Venom at Extreme Rules and Cruella De Vil at Backlash. And really, the
01:53Cruella one would have placed on this list had it not been for her Agatha Harkness inspired
01:58outfit at Survivor Series. She's been messing up everything and pulling every evil string,
02:03and it was wonderfully poetic because she was facing off against Becky Lynch, who was
02:07cosplaying as the Scarlet Witch. I love these two dorks! WandaVision had been a massively
02:12popular show on Disney Plus that year, and these two forever rivals facing off with these
02:17outfits was just fabulous for us comic book fans. Becky's Scarlet Witch should probably
02:22be the entry here as it was the better outfit, but Flair is our pick because it was Agatha
02:27all along.
02:28Number 9, The Elite as Street Fighter. Remember when Fyter Fest was a parody of Fyre Fest
02:34which found new life following the Netflix documentary about that guy who would do anything
02:37for some water? It's just some random episode of Dynamite these days with none of the video
02:41game or music festival connotations. The first one back in 2019, before AEW was even
02:47on television, was in conjunction with CEO, the community event Orlando, an annual video
02:52game event with strong ties to the fighting game community. It's also run by Alex Jabaili,
02:57hence why he had a hardcore match with Michael Nakazawa on that show. Bloody hell, AEW really
03:01was weird in its first year. But the main event of the show, technically because Jon
03:05Moxley vs Joey Janela was unsanctioned and therefore not an official match, was the Lucha
03:11Bros and Laredo Kid taking on The Elite, who used their fighting game connections to come
03:15out as Ryu, Ken and Akuma from Street Fighter. And it was way better than when Kenny dressed
03:20as the Terminator that one time because NO ONE HAS EVER DONE A GOOD TERMINATOR ENTRANCE
03:24PLEASE STOP TRYING.
03:26The Street Fighter-AEW crossover continues to this day, with AEW regularly releasing
03:31very expensive t-shirts of their wrestlers-facing characters from Capcom's premiere fighting
03:36series. Look, when they do AEW vs Darkstalkers or Power Stone, then I'll be listening.
03:41MAKE A SEQUEL TO POWER STONE, YOU COWARDS!
03:438. Jade Cargill as Jade
03:46It's wild to think that Jade Cargill is still relatively new to the wrestling scene
03:49as she feels like she's been around for ages, due to the fact that she's just bloody
03:53natural at feeling like a star. Her match at AEW Revolution against Tai Concey might
03:58have been a foregone conclusion, but her entrance sure came out of nowhere. Coming down to the
04:02ring accompanied musically by Crystone Kingfish Ingram, Cargill took her Jade name to heart
04:07by cosplaying brilliantly as Jade from Mortal Kombat. If you didn't think Cargill could
04:12look any more like a star, just look at her here. And while we're looking at things,
04:18here's Alex Queen of the Ring's reaction.
04:247. Ronda Rousey as Sonya Blade
04:34Sticking with Mortal Kombat, but going across to WWE, and Ronda Rousey came out at Elimination
04:39Chamber 2019 for her match against Ruby Riot as Sonya Blade from Mortal Kombat, specifically
04:44Mortal Kombat 11, which at that point was just around the corner from being released.
04:48While this is cool in its own right, Sonya Blade has been a staple of the Mortal Kombat
04:51franchise since the very first instalment back in the early 90s, this was a little bit
04:56cooler because Ronda Rousey was literally the voice of Sonya Blade in Mortal Kombat
05:0111. Not that fans in the series particularly liked her performance, still it was a cool
05:05moment for us wrestling fans, and a nice bit of promotion for the game.
05:096. Zelina Vega as Vega
05:11Sticking with WWE, but going back to Street Fighter, and similarly to Jade Cargill cosplaying
05:16as someone with her name, Zelina Vega entered the 2019 Royal Rumble as her Street Fighter
05:20namesake Vega, complete with mask and claw, because Vega has always been one of the coolest
05:27characters in Street Fighter. It's just too bad she didn't get to shout.
05:33Vega has a history of awesome cosplays on her Instagram and OnlyFans, like Starlight
05:39from The Boys, Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn from Batman, Vampirella, Team Rocket with
05:44Andrade, and hilariously given this list, Jade from Mortal Kombat, posing here with
05:49Kofi Kingston as Shang Tsung, Xavier Woods as Shao Kahn, and Ronda Rousey as, yeah, Sonya
05:54Blade. Look, this list is all coming together! If only we had New Day as the next entry on
05:59this list!
06:005. The New Day as Dragon Ball Z
06:05The New Day should really go down in WWE history as one of the greatest factions of all time,
06:10not the least of which because they've been together for nearly 10 years with zero signs
06:14of ever breaking up, and have created two WWE champions, who admittedly deserve better,
06:20and many incredible matches and moments. Their entrance at WrestleMania 32, where they
06:25took on the League of Nations, who will go down in wrestling history as a group that
06:29did happen, saw The New Day come out of a Texas-sized box of budeos, and if that wasn't
06:34enough, showed off in full Dragon Ball Z cosplay complete, with Xavier Woods going Super Saiyan.
06:40The New Day also have a slew of superb cosplay gear, like Power Rangers, Gears of War at
06:45Survivor Series 2020 because they were playable characters in Gears of War 5, Final Fantasy
06:5014 at WrestleMania 33, and Woods, that one time, sported Rubio's hair from Spielberg's
06:55Hook, a movie that people remember being good, but is actually quite pants. Nostalgia is
06:59a hell of a drug.
07:014. Prince Devitt as Venom
07:03There are some of us here who are old enough to remember that Finn Balor wearing face paint
07:06wasn't some demon persona, and was just something cool that he did. Even in XT, he used his
07:12face paint to replicate Jack the Ripper at Takeover London and the Texas Chainsaw Massacre
07:16at Takeover Dallas, but on the independent scene as Prince Devitt, he did more overt
07:21cosplaying like Carnage, The Joker, Bane and even Spider-Man 2099. His most famous, arguably,
07:28is probably his Venom face paint from Insane Championship Wrestling back in 2014, where
07:32not only did he have the eyes that were a beautiful display when he closed his own,
07:36but also the fantastic detail on his hanging tongue and teeth. It's a truly spectacular
07:42visual and one of the things that really caught eyes on Devitt before he headed to WWE to
07:47become some random demon character that falls on his arse in a match with Roman Reigns because
07:51I think God got involved.
07:533. Thunder Rosa as The Bride
07:55Thunder Rosa came out for her No DQ match against Mercedes Martinez on AEW Dynamite
08:00full of piss and vinegar, and importantly for this list, an awesome outfit inspired
08:04by The Bride from Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill, itself inspired by Bruce Lee in Game
08:09of Thrones. It's so cool, she's used the outfit twice, recently defending her AEW Women's
08:14Championship against Marina Shafir on Dynamite while wearing it. Fun fact, I think Kill Bill
08:19is a bit sh**, but Thunder Rosa rules, so I'm putting it here.
08:22Perhaps the better cosplay was from last year, where she came out for her TBS Championship
08:26tournament match against Jade Gargile as X-23 from the X-Men, complete with awesome adamantium
08:32claws. It was also a nice touch, as Gargile dyed her hair silver as a tribute to Storm
08:38from X-Men. Which brings us back to our first entry of Agatha and Wanda, I love it when
08:43wrestlers do stuff like this. Wrestling is cool, everyone, go tell your friends.
08:47And speaking of cool…
08:492. Alexa Bliss as Chucky
08:51Alexa Bliss is a massive nerd, and has donned loads of cool cosplay attire over the years
08:56like Freddy Krueger, Supergirl, Buzz Lightyear, even firing a laser at one point like the
09:00brilliant dweeb she is, Iron Man and more. However, my pick of the bunch was the Halloween
09:06episode of Raw from 2017, where she came out as good guy doll Chucky from the Child's
09:11Play franchise. I'm picking this one for two reasons. Alexa Bliss is awesome, and thinks
09:16a goofy movie is the best Disney movie, which is 100% a correct opinion, and B, I think
09:21Child's Play might be my favourite horror franchise. Even though I have a Friday the
09:2513th tattoo, I'm picking Chucky here, please don't tell Jason.
09:29And now that Bliss is done with her knock-off fiend nonsense and has gone back to being
09:33regular old Alexa, I'd like to see her do some more of this awesome cosplay outfit stuff
09:38because she's so good at it.
09:401. The Elite as the Ghostbusters
09:43Look it was always going to be this, wasn't it? I ONCE DRESSED AS A GHOSTBUSTER FOR A
09:47SCREENING OF THE MOVIE FOR ITS 30TH ANNIVERSARY AND IT'S MY FAVOURITE MOVIE OF ALL TIME.
09:51The Elite took on the Dark Order, themselves, in a variety of cosplay including Colt Cabana
09:55as Brandon Cutler and Stu Grayson as Kratos, in the main event of a Halloween themed AEW
10:00Dynamite with Kenny Omega, Adam Cole, Bay Bay and the Young Bucks coming out in full
10:04Ghostbusters attire. Not just with the proton packs and all the works, but also a reworking
10:10of the Ghostbusters theme by Mickey Ruckus, which is simply delightful.
10:15This is all amazing to me because, yeah, as I said, Ghostbusters is the best movie ever
10:20made, but it actually also played into the story of the match, as the Stay Puft Marshmallow
10:25Man revealed himself to be none other than Hangman Adam Page, who was feuding with Kenny
10:29Omega for the title at the time. The reaction from the crowd was palpable, made only more
10:35incredible because everyone was in such goofy outfits, bloody love pro wrestling sometimes.
10:40There are some who made fun of this because Adam Cole was once NXT Champion and some WWE
10:45fans think this was a humiliating step down for him, but those people are frankly f***ing
10:49idiots, and if you're one of them watching this video, I'm sorry, but you're a f***ing
10:53idiot and this was awesome. Have a bit of fun in your life!
10:56And that's our list. Tell me in the comments which ones I missed because I'm bound to have
10:59missed loads of them. I really enjoyed making this one, so please go ahead and watch more
11:02fun list videos here on PartsFunknown by clicking the ones on screen right now. I've been Luke
11:06Owen, Jam That Jam.
