00:00 What do you think of when you hear the name "Bullet Club"?
00:03 A dominant faction of foreign heels?
00:05 A YouTube show?
00:06 An iconic t-shirt design?
00:08 The House of Torture having a very apt name when evaluating their matches?
00:11 None of these would be wrong answers of course.
00:13 Yes, since debuting in 2013, New Japan Pro Wrestling's Bullet Club faction has experienced
00:18 its own long journey through the peaks and valleys of wrestling relevancy.
00:22 However, even with interest in New Japan waning following the start of the pandemic, Bullet
00:26 Club still means enough that you can have programming on WWE, AEW, and Impact dedicated
00:31 to the group in some way.
00:33 Whether that be Jay White cutting a pro Bullet Club promo on Dynamite, or WWE having Finn
00:38 Balor and AJ Styles make the llamas kiss while motioning at their hands and going "Eh?
00:43 This is the thing you like, right?"
00:45 A wide reach indeed.
00:46 With such a reach and many years of history to pull from, Bullet Club has amassed a large
00:50 list of roster and alumni with contributions ranging from changing the wrestling business
00:54 as a whole to being a net negative on the group itself.
00:57 It's time for another longer than average list.
00:59 I'm Tempest Hailing from PartsFunKnown, and this is Every Bullet Club Member Ever
01:03 Ranked.
01:05 Also a side note, we will only be including full time members, so no Scott, Norton, Hawk
01:09 Hu, Stephen Amell, or Peter, and I'm not including Marty Scurll, because I don't
01:13 wanna.
01:14 Sorry not sorry.
01:15 But before we crack on, make sure of course to give this video a like and subscribe if
01:18 you like more fun wrestling rankings just like this, and if you especially like the
01:22 rankings, make sure to check out our list of every single Ring of Honor World Champion
01:26 Ever Ranked.
01:28 #30 Bone Soldier The original Bone Soldier is the worst that
01:32 Bullet Club has to offer.
01:33 Kevin Kelly at one point said he was the worst wrestler he had ever seen in his career.
01:37 It must be true, Kevin Kelly wouldn't lie to me.
01:40 He has such a trusting face.
01:42 Wearing a stupid Halloween mask and track pants, not even the other Bullet Club members
01:45 wanted to associate with him.
01:47 He was only in the group from September 2016 to February 2017, where he'd stand on the
01:51 apron sticking out like SpongeBob's grotesquely sore thumb.
01:55 #29 Jotto Once upon a time, Jotto was a capable wrestler.
01:59 He was a multiple-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion and a solid talent, but
02:04 that was then, and unfortunately now he's practically immobile.
02:08 Just watching him move has been painful since his spinal surgery, but his short run with
02:12 Bullet Club came to a merciful end in 2022, exiting alongside G.O.D.
02:17 #28 Dick Togo There's not much separating WWF Attitude
02:21 Era star Dick Togo from Jotto on this list.
02:24 Dick Togo just doesn't look like he's in pain when he walks.
02:27 Debuting at Dominion 2020 by helping EVIL secure the IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental
02:31 titles for the first time, Dick Togo has been a blight on New Japan since then, interfering
02:35 in every single EVIL match like goddamn clockwork.
02:39 It has made New Japan genuinely unwatchable at times, however at least Togo can say he's
02:44 been part of the most influential faction in history.
02:47 Anti of course.
02:48 #27 Gato Similar to the previous two entries, Gato
02:52 is primarily a manager for J.White these days.
02:55 Gato was once a very capable wrestler, working as Jotto's tag team partner, but now he
02:59 adds little to the honor of presentation of the biz-cliz.
03:01 I mean, at least he manages J. instead of EVIL.
03:04 #26 Frankie Kazarian Frankie Kazarian was in Bullet Club, you
03:08 semi-familiar folk all think to yourselves?
03:11 Don't you lie to me.
03:13 In Ring of Honor in 2017, Frankie Kazarian joined Bullet Club, turning on his partner
03:17 Christopher Daniels.
03:18 However, it turned out it was all just a ruse as Kazarian turned on Adam Cole a month later,
03:23 allowing Daniels to capture the ROH World Championship.
03:25 Meaning while Kazarian is fantastic, a classic Bullet Club member, he is not.
03:30 #25 Cody Hall Oh, Cody Hall.
03:33 So much potential.
03:34 The son of the late WWE Hall of Famer Scott Hall, Cody has never lived up to his family
03:39 name.
03:40 He tries to be a big star, but it just hasn't happened.
03:43 Hall was in Bullet Club for a brief time, often assisting the Young Bucks in their matches.
03:47 He was part of the group during some of their most successful times in 2015, but he was
03:51 never the highlight.
03:52 He sure is big though.
03:54 Man, maybe Vince is on to something.
03:56 #24 Evil Each entry to this point has had fairly low
04:00 potential for greatness as a Bullet Club member.
04:02 This one, however, has simply been a disaster.
04:05 Evil was pushed hard as a main eventer in 2020, joining Bullet Club and winning the
04:10 IWGP Double Championship in one weekend.
04:13 His reign was a major step back for the title, and he has since gone on to lead the House
04:17 of Torture subdivision of Bullet Club, which, notably, has also been rubbish.
04:22 Evil's tremendous work as a babyface has not translated to his work as a heel, and
04:26 Dick Togo constantly ruining his matches has made Evil's work in Bullet Club a slog to
04:30 get through much of the time.
04:32 It's very weird that the man named Evil worked better as a babyface, but here we are.
04:37 #23 Show The breakup of Roppongi 3K felt like a long
04:40 time coming, and an opportunity for Show to spread his wings and show what he could bring
04:44 to the junior division in a singles role.
04:46 Instead of being the ace the company has needed since Kushida left, Show has been part of
04:50 the House of Torture.
04:51 And it's moments like this that I think about Morgan Freeman's speech about hope being
04:55 a dangerous thing, and then I think comparing the House of Torture to being a literal prison
04:58 is a bit much.
05:00 #22 Hikaleo Hikaleo earns points for longevity, even
05:04 though he has yet to do anything of real importance.
05:06 Son of Haku and brother of the Gorillas of Destiny, Hikaleo has been in Bullet Club since
05:10 2017, which is hard to believe at times considering the time he has spent has just been so uneventful.
05:15 He's managed to improve a lot over the years, most recently on NJPW Strong, but the BC's
05:19 tallest gorilla has yet to win any titles or any singles matches of any significance.
05:24 #21 Juice Robinson Bullet Club's newest member duped the world
05:28 into thinking he was letting his New Japan contract expire with the intentions of chilling
05:32 at home.
05:33 In 2022 Juice Robinson made what everyone thought was his final New Japan appearance
05:36 at Windy City Riot, only to immediately turn on Hiroshi Tanahashi and turn heel for the
05:41 first time in the promotion.
05:42 You have to play the waiting game to get a proper read on Juice Robinson's standing
05:46 at Bullet Club, but I don't feel like playing that game, so I'll wait to play the waiting
05:50 game.
05:51 #20 Chris Bay Chris Bay became the first Impact Wrestling
05:53 star to join Bullet Club after the promotion began working with New Japan again during
05:57 the pandemic.
05:58 They are now officially shifting out of the tier of bad Bullet Club members.
06:02 In this case Bay hasn't lit the wrestling world on fire by any means, but he's been
06:05 one of Impact's best and works to make Bullet Club's Impact matches better just by being
06:09 in them.
06:10 #19 Robbie Eagles Robbie Eagles was a difficult one to place.
06:15 He's extremely talented and has had great matches while in Bullet Club, but he never
06:19 quite fit the group.
06:21 Even when he was part of the faction he was much more of a babyface than his peers.
06:25 He would often chastise Taiji Shimori and El Phantasmo for their heel antics, leading
06:29 one to ask why he was in the faction anyway.
06:32 But because New Japan was a place where these little character moments all mean something,
06:36 after a classic match with former mentor Will Ospreay, Eagles left Bullet Club to join Chaos
06:41 the next day.
06:42 His exodus was the most memorable thing he ever did with the faction.
06:45 #18 Yujiro Takahashi Longevity plays a large role with Yujiro Takahashi's
06:50 placement.
06:51 It's hard to believe now, but there was a time when Yujiro joining the faction was a
06:55 major angle.
06:56 The Tokyo Pimp (and how's that for your next NXT 2.0 gimmick?)
06:59 defected from Chaos in 2014 by turning on Kazuchika Okada, costing him the IWGP Heavyweight
07:05 title to the debuting AJ Styles.
07:07 He's been involved in Never Openweight trios and such, but he's been one of the least
07:10 important members of the group for quite some time.
07:13 He was the faction's first Japanese member, but with so many now that no longer feels
07:17 like it carries as much weight.
07:19 #17 Chase Owens Everything that was said about Yujiro Takahashi
07:22 could be said about Chase Owens as well.
07:25 Well, almost everything.
07:26 Chase Owens is indeed NOT Bullet Club's first Japanese member the last time I checked.
07:31 For years, he was the one to eat the pin in multi-man tag team matches, and he has done
07:34 an admirable job in that role, every so often getting a big opportunity like participating
07:39 in the 2021 G1 Climax.
07:41 He is Bullet Club through and through, just not one of the more important members.
07:45 #16 El Phantasmo El Phantasmo joined New Japan and Bullet
07:49 Club in 2019, and while he brings a different douchebag energy than the others in the group
07:53 nowadays as he sticks his tongue out and gyrates like a fish being tased, he has fit the role
07:58 of a four heel very well.
08:00 He is another excellent wrestler, having standout performances in his Best of the Super Juniors
08:04 and Wrestle Kingdom outings.
08:06 He is yet to achieve much single success outside of his Super J-Cup win, but he and Ishimori
08:11 have been a solid junior tag team for the faction, picking up right where the young
08:14 bucks left off.
08:15 #15 Hangman Page It's hard to look at Hangman Page as anything
08:19 but the top star of all elite wrestling he has become, but during the days of Bullet
08:23 Club, he had a ways to go.
08:24 A fairly bland character at the time, Page joined the group with Adam Cole at Ring of
08:29 Honor's Global Wars event in 2016.
08:32 His work on being the elite brought him a long way as a character, but his best work
08:35 didn't come until he left the group in 2018.
08:38 He still had good matches, having several in the 2018 G1 Climax, but Page will be best
08:43 known for his ascent after leaving Bullet Club.
08:46 #14 Taiji Ishimori We have reached the tier of good Bullet Club
08:50 members with the new Bone Soldier, Taiji Ishimori.
08:54 Ishimori could not be more different from the original Bone Soldier if he tried.
08:58 He's been one of the best juniors in the world for years, but has shown it on a huge
09:02 stage since arriving in New Japan in 2018.
09:04 The only problem with Ishimori in Bullet Club is there has rarely been a connection with
09:08 him and the group.
09:09 His allegiances seem to be to the Tongans, but with them out of the picture, there are
09:13 even fewer things tying him to Bullet Club.
09:15 #13 Tangaloa Tangaloa has only recently started to put
09:19 it together as an in-ring performer the last few years, but he has the other assets you
09:23 need to be great.
09:24 He and Tamatanga have been a great team for years and a true fixture of Bullet Club.
09:29 They refused to stop winning titles, becoming the IWGP Tag Team Champions for the seventh
09:34 time in 2021.
09:35 And let us not forget the fact that these two are a real-life team named the Gorillas
09:39 of Destiny, which is still one of the most absurdly awesome names for any team ever.
09:45 Tangaloa hasn't been great enough to crack the top tier of Bullet Club members, but his
09:49 identity is synonymous with the group, and points have to be given for that.
09:53 #12 Doc Gallows One of the earliest members of Bullet Club,
09:56 Doc Gallows stepped into the role of Carl Anderson's tag team partner as Bullet Club's
10:00 heavyweight team and QuizzleMania participants.
10:03 Dr. Luke Gallows and Carl Anderson always felt Bullet Club adjacent while they were
10:06 in WWE, routinely being called "The Club" (wink) and shuffled next to whichever of AJ
10:12 Styles or Finn Balor WWE wanted to appeal to the Bullet Club fans with at the time.
10:16 I don't count this as time with the faction, but it goes to show just how linked they are
10:20 with Bullet Club's identity, which was illustrated further by Gallows' long-awaited return
10:24 to New Japan and Bullet Club in Japan in 2022.
10:28 #11 Adam Cole If this list was based purely on in-ring ability,
10:33 Adam Cole would have to be near the very top.
10:36 However, his spot with the faction is taken into account as well, and Cole just didn't
10:40 quite fit the Bullet Club makeup.
10:42 He was perfect with the Elite, which is once again being seen in AEW, but at his core,
10:47 Cole wasn't "Bullet Club", and it feels like this was the case with many of the Ring
10:51 of Honor members of the group.
10:53 Cole's ability and interplay with The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega put him in the top half
10:56 of this list, but his short time with the group leaves him outside the top 10.
11:01 #10 Cody Some people just embody chaotic energy, and
11:04 in Bullet Club, Cody was nothing but chaotic energy.
11:08 The little comic book villain arrived at WrestleKingdom 11 and was never on the same page as Kenny
11:12 Omega, and was a key figure in the Bullet Club Civil War of 2018.
11:16 That being said, he was one of the better parts of Bullet Club during this time.
11:19 His matches were consistently good, and his impact on the group was always evident.
11:24 He was as much a foreign heel as you can get, coming straight from WWE, which matched much
11:28 of what Bullet Club's identity has always been.
11:31 #9 Kenta Kenta's been one of the better additions
11:34 to Bullet Club in recent years.
11:36 He joined the faction in 2019 after not being embraced by the New Japan fans, and he hasn't
11:40 looked back since.
11:42 Despite being Japanese, Kenta works as a foreign heel.
11:45 Even before working for WWE, he was a pro wrestling NOAH guy.
11:49 New Japan has never been his home, and once he embraced that, his character has begun
11:54 to shine.
11:55 He fits Bullet Club better than most in the faction these days, honestly.
11:58 #8 Jay White It is no secret that Bullet Club has not been
12:01 as important or as popular since Jay White took over the group in late 2018.
12:06 While it's not necessarily a bad thing that a heel faction is not as popular anymore,
12:10 it does sort of feel like the NWO after the hype died down.
12:14 With that negativity out of the way, Jay White is one of the most complete wrestlers in the
12:18 world and sits high on this list as a result.
12:21 Not the most iconic Bullet Club leader, but you would have a hard time arguing that Jay
12:25 hasn't been just as talented as the rest of them.
12:28 #7 Bad Luck Fale And from one end of the Bullet Club work rate
12:32 scale to the other, we have one of the original four members of Bullet Club, Bad Luck Fale.
12:37 And Bad Luck Fale is Bullet Club through and through.
12:40 He has never been the best wrestler, but given the right circumstances, he can have a good
12:44 match, often helped by New Japan's bonkers roster in the 2010s.
12:48 His position on this list is entirely dependent on his longevity in the group as one of only
12:52 two remaining members from the group's inception and the only one to do so without a hiatus.
12:57 After nine years in the group, Fale's loyalties remain with the Bullet Club.
13:02 #6 The Young Bucks The Young Bucks must be given a tremendous
13:05 amount of credit for the growth of popularity in Bullet Club.
13:08 Their being the elite show brought in many fans in 2016, but they'd been tearing it
13:12 up long before then too.
13:14 Joining the group in late 2013, the Young Bucks were Bullet Club's first junior tag
13:18 team for half a decade.
13:20 Not only that, but they established themselves as the best tag team in the world during that
13:24 time and no I won't stop for even just a second to debate that, we must keep going.
13:27 They added so many things to Bullet Club and being the elite shaped much of the group's
13:31 identity during its most popular period.
13:34 Whether or not this was the part of Bullet Club you connected with is up to you, but
13:37 it is undeniable that the Young Bucks did more for the Bullet Club brand than most others
13:42 on this list.
13:43 #5 AJ Styles For my money, there was no time that Bullet
13:47 Club was cooler than when AJ Styles was the leader.
13:51 Look at his entrance at Wrestle Kingdom 10 and tell me this isn't the coolest wrestler
13:55 on the globe.
13:56 Arguably the most successful leader of the group, Styles had a pair of lengthy reigns
14:00 as IWGP Heavyweight Champion.
14:02 No other Bullet Club leader has held the title more than once.
14:06 Styles wasn't as influential a leader as those who immediately preceded and succeeded
14:10 him, but man was he great.
14:12 For many, this is where Styles cemented himself as one of the generation's best workers.
14:17 Everyone who watched TNA knew he was great, but let me tell you he hit another level in
14:21 New Japan that remains the best in-ring run he has ever had.
14:25 AJ found out the hard way that you don't walk away from Bullet Club when you're the
14:28 leader, being forcibly removed by the elite at New Year's Dash 2016.
14:33 #4 Tama Tonga Some things just feel like they're gonna
14:36 last forever, and Tama Tonga in Bullet Club felt like one of those things.
14:40 Even now, with Tama a babyface representing New Japan against Bullet Club, the cosmic
14:45 scales are out of balance.
14:47 Tama Tonga always had a swagger about him that few can match, and that swagger was very
14:52 Bullet Club.
14:53 He and Tangaloa have been tag team champions a whopping seven times, making them the most
14:57 successful tag team in the group's history, but New Japan history as well.
15:01 Only bad luck Fale has spent more time in Bullet Club than Tama Tonga, and even after
15:05 a decade's worth of change, the identity of Bullet Club will always come from its founders.
15:10 #3 Kenny Omega What is there to say about Kenneth Omega?
15:14 Omega's run as Bullet Club leader featured many of the most important storyline moments
15:18 in the faction's history, whether that be Omega kicking AJ Styles out, his relationship
15:22 with Cody Ibushi, and his rivalry with Cody Rhodes.
15:25 It is undeniable that Bullet Club was at its most popular with Kenny Omega at the helm,
15:30 and that is for many reasons.
15:32 Omega putting on industry-shifting matches with Kazuchika Okada and Chris Jericho brought
15:36 tons of new eyes onto the product.
15:38 All the while, he proudly waved the Bullet Club flag figuratively and literally when
15:42 he won his 2016 G1 Climax.
15:44 In terms of talent, Omega would take the top spot, but there are two more who embody Bullet
15:49 Club even more than he.
15:51 #2 Carl Anderson The machine gun, Carl Anderson.
15:59 One of the original members of the group and a proper example of the attitude Bullet Club
16:03 represented, now back with the group at last.
16:06 He was second in command to both Prince Devin and AJ Styles, and served as the group's mouthpiece
16:10 for much of that time.
16:11 Bullet Club had a lot of great eras and moments, but Carl Anderson doing a BC roll call with
16:16 a faction full of champions and stars of the present and future in 2015 is pretty badass.
16:21 Had he not left New Japan to go to WWE in 2016, there's a very good chance he might
16:26 have taken the top spot.
16:27 However, with Carl finally having made his way back to the group he helped create, he
16:31 could take the top spot before long.
16:33 But until then…
16:34 #1 Prince Devin It doesn't get much more OG than this.
16:38 The founder of Bullet Club himself, Prince Devin, has to take the top spot on this list.
16:43 Now known by many more fans as WWE's Finn Balor, Devin was the superstar that launched
16:48 the success of this cutting edge faction.
16:50 This group of foreign heels was not popular at first, but eventually fans started to appreciate
16:54 the nuance of their performances.
16:56 Devin was at the center of this.
16:58 Frustrated by constant disappointments and mistreatment from New Japan management, Devin
17:02 turned on Ryusuke Taguchi and aligned with Anderson, Fale and Tamatanga.
17:07 You wanna see the squad?
17:08 That's the squad right there.
17:10 Being carried to the ring on bad luck Fale's shoulders, Devin went undefeated in the 2013
17:14 Best of the Super Juniors, winning the tournament and the junior title, before defeating Okada
17:19 and Tanahashi in the G1.
17:20 To this day, no one has captured more of the spirit of Bullet Club than Devin.
17:25 The Bullet Club anti-establishment sentiment was his sentiment, and as long as Bullet Club
17:30 is still causing a headache for management, Devin's impact is still felt.
17:34 He may have left before the faction reached its peak, but the Bullet Club's heart will
17:38 always beat with the blood of a demon.
17:41 And that's our longer than average list.
