A couple left the UK to travel while world schooling their kids to 'break the cycle' and say it "brought us closer together".
Emma Niblett, 36, and her husband, Dan, 40, felt they were repeating the same cycle in the UK and didn't feel they were having fulfilling experiences as a family.
They decided to do something completely different and rented their house out before leaving the UK for Bali in August 2024.
The family has been based there for the last three months and their boys - Noah, eight, and Isaac, five - have been learning in a pop up school.

00:00In just three months, we are packing up everything we have and we are leaving the country with our two boys aged eight and five.
00:07Our plan is to travel the world for a year to world school the boys.
00:11We're spending the first three months in Bali where they're already booked into an education centre.
00:16We are just your average run-of-the-mill family.
00:19We have two corporate jobs. We live in Yorkshire, in England, and we are not doing this to escape the British school system.
00:26The boys actually thrive in school.
00:28But we've always had a huge passion to travel and we want to take the experiences while the boys are at the right age to leave and go and see the world.
00:37It all sounds amazing, but it is coming with challenges.
00:41Travelling with an ADHD family, travelling with young children, you know, there's a lot of packing and planning that is going into this.
00:49I plan on documenting our whole journey, the good, the bad and the ugly, to hopefully give some information that people need and to inspire people to do things differently.
00:59It's just over a month since we left the UK to live in Bali, but today we're exploring Sydney.
01:04I can't actually believe that we've packed up everything we own, rented our house and left the UK for a whole year.
01:09And for the next three months, our children get to go to school in Bali.
01:12In December, we'll be leaving Bali for our next adventure.
01:16I know we have not decided where we're going yet, but we'll soon be looking for a new world school for our children and sharing our journey.
01:2139 days ago, we left the UK on a one-way ticket to Bali.
01:25Our plan is to be away from the UK for at least a year.
01:28We'll live in Bali for three to four months before heading off to possibly New Zealand or Japan next.
01:34Our boys are five and eight and we have deregistered them from the UK school system.
01:38And they are currently enrolled in a three-month school programme in Bali in a pop-up school.
01:44We plan to slow travel around the world so the boys can go to various world schools, socialise with other children, learn about the culture and continue some of their education.
01:52We are funding our travel by having rented out our house in the UK for the year and we're also working online remotely.
01:59Now that we're in Bali, we are finding working remotely a struggle, so we're looking at lots of different ways that we can earn money on the go.
02:06If you'd asked me a month ago why we're leaving the UK, I would have said that we were thriving in the UK, but we just wanted more adventure.
02:13Now that we're over a month in, I would tell you that we were definitely not thriving in the UK.
02:18Now I realise how stressed we were, how fragmented we were as a family, how much we were struggling on a day-to-day basis.
02:25Already, this trip has changed the whole trajectory of our lives.
02:28It's changed how we function as parents, as a family and how we function in our day-to-day lives.
02:35If you want to follow our journey, I promise that I will be as open and honest with you as possible all the way around the world.
02:40And I truly hope that I can start to inspire families, parents, mums to start thinking differently about what their future might look like.
